This. Regardless of base design, a fully maxed th8 can always be 100% by a well executed mass dragon attack.

Dragoning requires little to no strategy at all, so the best you can do is just upgrade your AD's
I once got three starred as a th8 by dragons. But this was as a new th8 with one of my air defense only at level two. Th8 is a huge boost against dragon attacks. Anyone who can guarantee a three star against a maxed th8 as a th8 themselves please share your tactics.
Unless the attacker messes up, it is pretty much impossible to defend against dragons at Th7 and Th8. Th9 and Th10 have a pretty good chance since they have four air defenses and a better defense.
Some bases are more difficult than others. But as th8 there is only so much fire power that, I repeat, a well executed mass dragon attack should be able to 3 star any th8. Like you said yourself, yours rarely, but not never got 3 stared. In other word, in the right hand a mass dragon attack is capable of clear your th8 base. This is the fundamental difference and my key point.
At TH7 and Early TH8 mas drags take no skill and are an easy 3 star. completely OP. Mid to max TH8 you need to develop skill and learn to read and path your mass drags with loons. However, when competent there are very few(i've seen one) TH8 bases that can defend dragloonion.
So what's wrong with that? If they are really good at doing mass dragon attack and can 3-star my base (albeit rarely), then kudos to them and I accept my defeat. I would learn at how they did the attack and improve my base instead of whining to nerf them.
Good lord, why don't we complain about pekkas as well since they are basically the ground version of dragons. Heck, why don't we just have one type of troop and be done with it.
