What to do about a premature Town Hall ?

They even put a warning about the loot penalty under the description whenever you upgrade your town hall. To upgrade to town hall 9 it says " Note: Upgrading will reduce you loot from opponents with town hall level 8 and below".

If you have been playing long enough to get to lvl9 town hall, you should have been aware of all this.

There has always been a loot penalty / bonus for as long as i have played. There are no new rules regarding the penalty as far as i know.

Prematurely upgrade town hall can cost bad experience.... see lot of guys quit because of that. Found interesting article on Town Hall upgrade guide at www.flyboyshome.com

This reply misses the point of the post completely. The article doesn't discourage those from buying gems, it helps guide the best use of them to maximize game play experience. The mistake wasn't spending money, it was what they spent it on. The title of the post is "What to do about a premature TH?". The OP(original poster) is trying to help those that have mistakenly gone the premature TH route and now regret it. Many posts and comments in this forum mention how that route has ruined the game play experience for them and many others have quit the game because of this.

These players have already spent their money and if they choose to spend more, this is a great guide on the best way to remedy their past mistakes with that money. The premature TH group has a very high percentage drop out rate as it is, how can they be the most lucrative subset of players?

That was only implemented in the last update though so anyone who upgraded before that never got that warning.

I got a town hall 10... Not a bad village to go with it upgrades are high priced now. I have clan mates lower than me their upgrades are not as costly... But their replays show them getting twice as much in their raids as me im starting to get feed up of it as the game is starting to drag for us townhall 10 players.... Premature or not!

Th 9 isnt that bad. you still get 200 000 and out of luck 300 000 of each resource if your in the 1400 trophy range.

I have Town Hall lvl 10 and all my collectors and storages maxed! (Besides the drills)
My walls are at lvl 6 and 7.

1 X-bow Lvl1
7 Archers at Lvl 8
6 Cannons at Lvl 9
2 Mortars at Lvl 5 & 1 at Lvl 6
3 Wizards at Lvl 3 & one at Lvl 4
2 Air Defenses at Lvl 4 & 2 at Lvl 5 (soon)
4 Hidden teslas at Lvl 2
BK @ Lvl 3

Archer, Barbarians and Giant are at Lvl 5
Goblins and Wall Breaker at Lvl 4
Minions at lvl 1 (soon lvl 2)

How bad is it and what should I do?? Should I loose on purpose (place one archer then surrender) fights to get down in trophies? In which interval should I be with trophies? Lower?
Which troops should I have in my clan castle?

Edit: I have tried out the BAM tactic and I have 205 capacity of troops in my camps. How should I balance Archer, Barbarians and Minions. How many of each?
