Why do my troops refuse to jump lately, i drop the jump spell right in front of them and they refuse to care. Most often they run away from it. I have used it the same way for a long time now, and never had issues. Is it just me or anyone else having this problem as well ?
The must be getting aggroed by other things like skele trap or heroes. It's possible they already locked onto a target as well and just ignore the spell, that's happened to me too
I believe you need a Lvl3 jump spell to make troops follow it.
I never realised that, are u sure ?
Troops will only follow the jump spell ONLY if you have Lvl 3.

Ok, I'm a noob. What does aggroed mean? From connotation, it seems to be related to a troop who is getting the brunt of defensive fire. But why is it called "aggroed"?Quote:

An "aggroed" troop is a troop that will make an attempt to specifically kill a unit. For example, if a defending skeleton were to attack an attacking troop, all nearby attacking troops would be "aggroed" and attempt to attack the defending skeleton.Quote:

Troops don't ever "follow" a jump spell - you need to study the troop AI. Non-defence building targeting troops will first chase heros, cc troops and skeletons in their range (overriding the effect of a jump spell if that is in a different direction).Quote:

So jump won't work in instances where the building you are trying to jump to is more than four spaces away and a building is closer, or if cc hero or skellies are pulling the troops in another direction.

One piece of advise… don't try capture too many compartments with the jump spell. Place it between your troops and the inferno or townhall you are targeting - avoiding diagonal jumps if you can. Unless you are jumping from a huge pocket for the most part it will work then.
