If you work it, you can make between 500,000 and 1,000,000 coins during the visitor bonus event. We know because we have done it.
You can also pile up the cash pretty well during the truck bonus event -- GOOD LUCK
Im one of the odd ones, I have never figured out the visitor event. Lol. I make my coins by making and selling at max price during the events. Good luck!!
It's an especially good idea for those of us who don't want to level up too quickly. I've put my town on hold and have been rushing around trying to fill truck orders. I think I'm going to relax and make a lot of buyers happy by selling in the RSS...although I did fill one truck order and got 4,000+ coins for two diamond rings!
Check out the wiki, then re make all of your coins back up, but then after just do what I did back then, before blowing it all on stuff, I made whatever the newspaper did not sell like: creams, butter, sugar both kinds ect, sooner or later you'll be richer in the end. Just keep on hand for you 10 but then sell off the other 10. :) If I can do it, you can too. :)
So these are my dos and don’ts for making coins
Don’ts
Don’t do/fill boats except the easiest ones with crops and common products or when I buy something really valuable from a shop
Don’t fill trucks orders, except for jewelry. They not only yield vouchers but some are more profitable than selling in shop
Don’t expand land unless absolutely necessary and sell at max the expansions materials. This applies both for town and main farm
I rarely buy from newspaper, except silo and barn materials
I don’t trade and sell extras at max price
Don’t buy expensive decoration (this rule has been broken several times, tho)
Dos
Sell at max. in my shop (cakes, ice cream, and coffee are my favorites)
Plant lots of corn and carrots and sell corn at default and carrots at max. I find this not only more profitable than wheating but also gives me more time to flip the newspaper for expansions materials. They sell so good I rarely have to sell to little people.
Play town and sell all extra materials at max.
Take a day off during visitor events :p
I'm not a fan of visitor events, since I don't need coins at this point. I participated twice. Once when I still needed coins, once as a challenge. I don't like how it disrupts my system, so I don't bother any more.
As for making coins...I pretty easily made 30,000 coins a day even without visitor events, back when earning coins was my goal. My one day RSS max revenue is over 200,000 coins. Basically, I sold constantly in my RSS. Did not bother with truck or boat orders, or the little people, unless they were asking for something I wanted to get rid of.
Fruit can also be crazy profitable, though you'll also need a lot of saws and axes if you go this route. People make 100,000 coins a day selling fruit. Even "common" fruit like apples sells very quickly at max price.
P.S. I meant to add...you should prioritize the production machines and buildings you buy in order to maximize your revenue. For example, the jam maker is really slow. It takes all day to make a jam, so even though they sell for a lot of coins, it's not very profitable. The juice maker and coffee kiosk, OTOH, are pretty fast. So those are probably a better investment than the jam maker.
The gift shop is probably not a great investment from the coins point of view. The townies don't pay all that well. You might get expansion items you can sell for coins, but you're probably better off selling the sweaters, candles, etc. in your RSS. They sell pretty well because other players need them for the gift shop.
Eventually, you'll have everything, and more coins than you can spend, so don't sweat it too much.
Here's what I do:
Whenever I hire the little errand boy I make him go on several shopping sprees to find me as many diamond rings as possible and then I sell them for top dollar. It's really the only way I've found to make a real profit to even dream of affording production buildings. Try it! It's worth it!
Not sure why this very old thread was revived, but blankets sell for more than diamond rings. Another way to make coins without spending diamonds is to stop filling boat, truck and town orders. Just keep producing goods and selling at full price in your RSS. It will also help you from leveling up too fast and needing even more coin for the next production or town building.
