Ducks with a building

I was thinking ducks as a new animal. Their habitat would be a Duck Pond which holds 5 ducks. There would be one unlocked at 26, 38 and 50. The Feather Refinery would be unlocked at 26 and you can produce feather bracelets with one wool, and two feathers. The second item unlocked would be feather earrings at 29 which require 1 silver bar and 1 feather. The next item at 40 is a quill pen which takes 1 feather and 1 beeswax. The last item at level 50 is a paintbrush which takes 1 apple jam, 1 feather, and 1 cotton fabric to make. Duck feed takes 1 hour in the feed mill for three. I don't care what they look like if they are added or anything but make it amazing like the bees.

I love your very detailed ideas here. I might be tired but why is an apple jam needed to make a paintbrush? Explain:) Sounds interesting.

I think ducks would be a great addition. I love the idea of having their habitat be a pond. Maybe they could swim around in their "fed" state and sit on the bank when ready to give feathers or waiting to be fed. Since the chickens are white, having mallard ducks would be beautiful.

An alternative location would be to have them in the fishing area. The wild mallards would look especially good there.

Pillows stuffed with feathers could be another product to be sold in the gift shop. The pillows would also be popular in the spa. Other possibilities might be a down jacket, a feather boa, and a feather duster.

I also was puzzled by the apple jam as an ingredient for the paintbrush.

I love the idea of ducks, down, and the products that go with them. having them in the fishing area would be great. There is another thread here about cutting trees & decorating the fishing area. I think these ideas go nicely together and would be a great addition to a rather lightly used area. Someone posted about ducks a while back and suggested breeding and racing them in a mini game. Sounds cool!

Ducks are great animals but to small - for feathers are pea♥♥♥♥s nice :o)

Apple jam for the paint and to make things interesting, pillows would be nice, maybe 1 cotton fabric and 3 feathers?

I would love to have ducks in a pond and to harvest feathers, and there are some great ideas here for products. Jewelry, decorated/decorative clothing, pillows/blankets, quill and paintbrush (so creative!). It would certainly expand the products offered in the gift shop and make better use of the loom and sewing machine.

Love the ducks, ( 'Lor' luv a duck...) . I wonder if we could also have geese? As pets. Which occasionally lay (bonus) eggs , that hatch to gifts, diamonds, or feathers... :D
