Cheap and reliable way to farm TH10 storages!

LAST UPDATED: December 1, 2014 - Added video on page 3 showing the strategy without heros. This is for all those requests and claims it is the royals doing the work. Working on a protégé that will be doing a TH9 version against a TH10 for a future video on my channel... like, share, and subscribe.

Epic first video for my new YouTube channel featuring solid 2* attacks against TH10 bases using mostly tier one troops. For anyone who thinks barch is for collector raids, prepare to have your mind changed.

This raid was a simple 120 barb 120 archer raid vs. a centralized TH base with two multi infernos. Only 2 lightning spells were needed. The end result was 4/4 gold storages, 2/4 elixir storage, and the dark storage completely taken.

With enough practice, you can consistently beat high level bases with extremely cheap armies, resulting in much more loot and less time spent pressing next. If you are in master, the loot bonus alone will cover your army.

If I get enough likes, I will post some of my more specialized tier 1 armies including my tier 1 comp that has gotten 2* wins against fully maxed bases (walls and all). I'm in a war clan and have demonstrated enough consistency that I was given the blessing to actually use these types of armies in wars.

When using this attack type, here are a few tips to help you succeed:

1) Look for bases with spread out splash defenses where one or two can be easily picked off and then one can be killed with 2 lightning. Ideally, you want roughly half the base to not have splash defenses.

2) Carry a heal and a jump. I try to minimize spell usage, but a heal can do wonders in making your barbarians almost invincible while in the circle.

3) Don't be stingy clearing the path to the core! As you can see in my video, it was only 75 barbs and 72 archers that actually took the core, without the queen!

4) Once you test the path with a single troop to make sure they are heading to hit a wall to get to the core, zoom all the way in and use multiple fingers to mass drop the whole force. Do two waves by using the other hand to alternate between barbs and archers.

5) Learn to adapt and improvise! I love this troop comp because you can still do collector raids, but when you see those juicy storages you can get them and the cups. Slowly dropping a couple barbs at a time while a pack of archers takes out a wizard tower is very viable.

6) With practice, this is a very effective 2* strategy all the way to champ. Against really hard bases, you just need to be willing to use spells. Wizards or a pekka in the clan castle and sneaking in about 4 wallbreakers does wonders when you start seeing level 10 or 11 walls.

7) I hope the video demonstrates this, but don't fear inferno towers! They can only hit 5 at a time and will drop in seconds, long before they stop the push. Mortars and wizard towers are the real threat! If your troops stray while you are practicing, a heal when in range of a wizard tower is a MUST.

Feel free to ask questions or share problems you are having, as I've worked with a TH9 in my clan quite a bit and he now consistently rips out 2*s and has a ton more options when farming. Go for collectors when you don't have spells unless you are really confident with the strategy.

Yeah, i may upgrade my barch too... it's the only combo that i had fun with multiple fingers deployment.

Good question, as that is how she is used in most attacks. With the location of the wizard tower, it would have cost a lot of troops to take it out and wizard towers are catastrophic to this style of attack.

Rather than hurt the firepower since I went in without a heal, I knew the troops would get the job done and she would clear the traps. If you get 70+ of each going directly into the core, it isn't going to be stopped.

The heros helped, but the queen wasn't part of the main attack and the king decided to walk around like a pekka instead of heading into the core.

My TH9 clan mate regularly is able to do it with heros in the teens and level 6 troops. It just requires being very precise, but even at TH9 he regularly gets 2* wins on early TH10s. The key is practice!

Well I'm just getting AQ here in a couple days, when I finish TH8. I use this style of barch alot, but often get stopped pre core. I think With using AQ to clear traps/Wbs when necessary, I'll be able to get past my "core" problem :) thanks man!

Glad it could be of use. I think the biggest problem most people have is underestimating the power of the concentrated force. It's worth using extra troops to kill one more splash tower to keep the main force alive. I'd rather spend 25 troop space taking out a wizard tower or mortar than have it ruin the raid by killing 90 troop space in one or two shots.

A good gauge I've used is if you have max troops for your TH and appropriately clear traps and a path, use 70 of each for TH10 cores, 60 of each for TH9 cores, and 50 of each for TH8 cores and you should slice through like a hot knife through butter.

very nice attack and very well executed. You are obviously a very talented player.

One issue though is that you were quite lucky to take out the first mortar because of a base design flaw. What had you done if the first mortar had been protected?

And with the fourth mortar now, things will be much more complicated.

Just thought, but good job nonetheless, I would have skipped that base, or take 2/4 gold storages.

That is the beauty of next and base selection. There is a chance I would have skipped it, or I would have changed my entry point to the right corner after focusing on clearing that mortar's section.

I'm also not afraid to use both heros, so for an exposed splash tower setup I am willing to use the king on one and queen on the other.

As much as the iron fist helps, as long as you get a clear path with enough troops the barbs and archers alone can kill the core.

If using it in a clan war, I usually go with 2 lightning, heal, rage, jump to have the flexibility to just heal through some splash.

It is much easier to pull off on lower level THs, but with practice and comfort you really can adapt to almost any base.

Best way to make sure they go where you want is to clear enough outside buildings so that the closest building is a path to the core. You'll notice after my first wave in the video, I sent one more wave to kill a little bit more before unleashing the masses.

When it looks close, drop a single troop first. If it goes where you want, drop everything and enjoy. If not, clear a little more on each side then test again.

Be patient and make 100% sure before you drop the horde. If they go the wrong way, they will wander into traps or splash towers you didn't clear.

If you lure the CC and can keep track, it can also be a great tactic to leave 1-2 troops inside by not luring the whole CC. That way, one or two troops will lure your attack force in.

It wasn't relevant in this raid, but my goal is to post tier 1 two stars on TH10s as the theme of the channel so I'll definitely add a video of that in a future post.

Farming collectors is straight forward, but doing high level core raids for loot and cups is definitely trickier. It is possible though, so if you get really good at it now, it will pay dividends long term. This is definitely a faster way than just going for 50% when going to champ.

4 maxed mortars is going to ruin this strategy, but you'll get a couple storages.

As a new TH 9 realizing the awesome power of Barch, I was wondering what do you prefer for spells? Would you rather take multiple lightning spells or multiple rage spells? Of course it is preferred to not use spells whenever possible, but this is for those times when taking on a storage raid or something of that sort. Also, how effective/necessary is troop dropping with two fingers when you're sending in the main wave? Thanks, recently I've been loving the versatility and cost-effectiveness of barch

If I'm going to use lots of spells, I honestly prefer to use mostly barbarians and just use a few archers for cleanup. However, if you are going for the core, you ultimately want to get the troops out as quickly as possible. I often use 6 finger drops like down below.

For pure barch troop comp, I like lightning to have the versatility to do collector or storage raids.

Good to hear! A lot of TH9s who ask me to help them with this are really scared of inferno towers. Don't fear the infernos once you master rapid deployment! You'll see in the second video I don't even hesitate to jump into the core even with both infernos being in range at the same time.

Do you guys prefer the simple raid videos, or would you want commentary along with them?

I think commentary is always best. I pumped up the volume high for your first vid, thinking a commentary was comming, lol

I do have an issue with this strategy though, after thinking about it a while. The beauty of BAM or Barch is really how fast they train and how much you can raid in a small period of time. I find that the mandatory use of spells and heroes in your tactic negates this totally. Waiting 1 hour for my next barch is just not my thing.

Now don't get me wrong; I do think you did an exeptional job and I think your tactic is sound and very good. it's just not as efficient as a no spell, no hero BAM. Still, I would encourage others to try your technique if it works for them.

I've decided long ago, in Clash, that I was not going to use spells in my BAMs in order to cook them as quick as possible and in order to save up on Elexir using cheap troops. This morning, for example, I raided 550K gold in 30 minutes. 3 attacks of 150K each, in which I used one spell (lighting that had cooked during the night which was used on enemy cc troops) and 2/3 attacks I did not use all my troops (which makes it even more efficient).

In the end, it's whatever works for you really and it's nice to see you being able to do 4/4 storages with Barch, spells and heroes.

Right. From a pure farming standpoint, spells and heros aren't as efficient. What I personally do is just pure barch with no spells while my spells are being cooked and look for collector raids and 50% wins.

But as you push through the three levels of master, it gets much harder to find collector raids and one star wins make pushing slow.

Once I have spells, it's probably the cheapest troop comp capable of getting 2* wins against high level bases. I pushed champ with gowi last time, but never again.

By using 3 heals, it also saves 45 minutes of cook time vs what most use in gowi comps.

Just added some barb heavy versions to the original post demonstrating the same concept with primarily the cheapest fastest troop in the game. What does everyone think?
