would it be nice to know if you are chatting with girls boy or bi-sexual. Honestly for me it sucks everytime im chatting with my clanmates who are new in the clan, they would call me Sir. Or Bro. And it's suck because I'm a woman. My husband would get mad everytime he would see people form my clan calling me Sir. And it bugs him because he kept reminding them that I'm a woman :) so please do something about it.
I respect that.... it happens to me too.. I m a boy and sometimes people get me girl.. and flirts.. but well.. CoC is a game..and chat allows us to interact with the numerous people around the globe.. but giving it a gender option is pretty bad.. however.. it is better to give us options to choose a avatar.. thats better ?
:)yeah maybe avatar will do , maybe or something like this♀ ♂ 유 웃 or adding up font color in the users, name like pink for girls and blue for guys....

And what about nonbinary genders, agender, bigender, genderfluid. They'd have to accommodate to evreyone and revealing nonbinary genders at first sight is going to cause them to be discriminated against.
How about a nonbinary option with girl or boy plus a hidden gender option.

Edit: wow overzealous swear filter much? People have a "séx", its a biological description. Women have a "vágina", again, its a biological description. Neither are swear words.
Good idea, that way all the little kids on global can now assault the girls who had a neutral name before and were hiding.
The first months my friends in-game though I was a girl. Till we added each other on KIK. lol
(makes maybe sense that Floris seems to be an old -woman name).
But I don't think all girls would like it to see that others could see they are a girl. My leader (is also a female) has kicked more often people who discovered that she was a girl and drived crazy, lol. some people do really everything for a girl into this game.
Just tell your friends you are a girl? There is no problem with that right? :)
I see no problem with having a radio button with:
-male
-female
-unspecified
That way people aren't harassed about what gender they are and if you don't care about people knowing, and find it more convenient to share it publicly, you have the option to do so.
I don't see a problem with this as long as the default is unset, and you can always go back to hiding it.
It should be left out altogether. For those who want it to be a secret, that's totally fine. Let people call the boys "ma'am" and the ladies "sir". It shouldn't matter. For those of you who DO care, just make it known that you are what you are. It really isn't that complicated. No one should be upset over someone mistaking a gender, especially with such a non-descript name as "Nylinam".*
Adding a gender option would allow all of the horny 14 year old boys in global to pick on the girls without fear of being wrong, and I've come across a few boys in my CoC experience that would pick the female option just for the weird attention they think they get. Adding an "unspecified" option would just cause those same 14 year olds to try to pressure people who are unspecified to specify.
Long story short, gender is 100% irrelevant in this game. If it's so important to you that people know you're a girl, tell your clan/global that
