How to upgrade your base correctly! Updated version
Hello your forever alone friend here, CHILIDAWG343, and i am here once again with a brand new upgrade guide -- for both pushers AND farmers!
First of all, while youre waiting for you town hall to upgrade, make sure you move it outside and put a builder hut in replacement for it. Yes, you may lose trophies, but this allows you to gather loot to get a healthy start on your new town hall 8 or something :P. Once your town hall is finished upgrading, build everything that you can (including traps) as soon as possible (and dont forget to move your town hall back if you had it inside before), then go to "clashofclansbuilder.com" to get assistance on a base design. Here you can find popular, effective, and stress-free designs! But you don't have to go here if you don't feel like it.
2. Once you have your new base design and your new buildings up, upgrade them to the proper level to equalize your base.
FARMERS:
3. As soon as you get those finished, upgrade your pumps mines and drills if you have any. This will maximize your loot for later.
4. Once you feel or realize you either cant upgrade your pumps mines and drills any further or youre losing too much loot during defenses, upgrade your storages. This will minimize the amount of loot per hit those sneaky goblins grab.
5. Walls and cannons are high priority for farmers, as walls protect your loot and cannons kill wall breakers, maximizing your "defense power."
6. Any type of defense against... The Air Arts... Lol... Is required to kill minions fast. Minions, even as weak as they are, are deadly in groups and point defense can only kill one at a time. Wizard towers are recommended to upgrade, but take caution as it may hurt your loot if you upgrade them at the wrong time.
7. Splash damage defenses and point defense traps (including the hidden tesla) are great to take out mass groups of weak troops. BOOM! ZAP! BOING! There goes a major half of an army.
8. Finish upgrading anything else that you haven't completely upgraded before you proceed to #9.
8.5. Upgrade your barracks and army camps. This will be necessary for #9 as you will be needing to raid.
10. Dark Elixir. Heroes, Barracks, troops, and defenses. If youre town hall 8+ you would have a DE drill, and you should have a bit of DE by now. This will be used to upgrade what you need ATM. Once youre out of DE, get your army ready for some raiding. Minions are recommended to pick off of exposed drills and storages. Anything else is for diggin deep. Also, while youre raiding make sure to keep your lab running on your leftover upgrades. ALWAYS worth it.
11. Upgrade your town hall when everything is maxed. Repeat the whole process.
