Heroes defense

What if the heroes( when on defense) go into their special ability right as their health runs out. This could be a last resort effort for them to do damage against the attacking army. When the ability ends if the health remains they can either stay alive for the rest of the fight or just go to their knocked out animation. Any thoughts?

Like an automatic thing? thereby ensuring that it gets used?

As long as the Hero's have unlocked their special ability (Iron Fist or Royal Cloak), it should automatically trigger when on defense at 50% life or just before "knock out".

That would be overpowered on defense, especially against troops like Hogs, giants, and balloons who don't fight back. They would just get chased by barbarians and archers and get killed.

I understand what you are saying, but it is a minor hurdle. If implemented, granted the Heroes would be a tougher obstacle, but that also means your Heroes are better at base defense as well.

I think it wouldn't have too much of an impact, just another step in CoC evolution.

They can use this ability to attack why not the same to defend.

if you haven't noticed the defending heroes are much stronger than an attacking ones. a defending bk1 can easily dispatch an attacking bk4

I think this is more than enough of an advantage....

People need to realize that every defensive addition to this game doesn't only make it easier to defend but much harder to attack.... is it not hard enough for you already? do you not farm/raid?

I farm all of the time and I have no trouble getting around the heroes at all. I'm talking from a defensive point of view. I feel the heroes STILL, while on defense (though better), still lag a bit.

You're kidding right? This is not true at all. Not to mention once the attacker uses the Hero ability you can practically walk through any lower matched Hero.
