Everytime i attack a th8, i always fail horribly. I have used every single composition out there.
1- My giants end up getting separated and never go for the core
2- My wallbreaks never break thorugh the core and always go for walls wayyyyy on the side
Try full drags, drag/loon or full hogs. Pref max level troop for your level. I was able to 3 star th8's as a 7 with level 2 drags. Just takes practice and don't blame the drag for not going the right way!
This isn for war. I am a th8 with maxed lvl 5 troops. I can destroy all th7's but can never even 2 star th8's that are mid/max
If it's non war, you don't need to "win" against the opponent. The key is to steal as much loot from them. If you lose, you can always TH snipe to make up the trophies. If you're trying to trophy push, look for farming bases with TH on the side for an easy 1 star victory.Quote:

Giants shouldn't all be sent out at once. Send 1 or 2 to distract and once wall breakers open up a few walls, then release them.
The only problem is in your way of deploying the troops. The Giants usually separate if you don't guide them well enough if the base is symmetrical. Using barch level 4 I've been able to 2 star some mid TH 8s. It's all about how you deploy your troops!!! Watch a few YouTube videos. That might help you out.

I farm a lot with maxed TH8 troops, being 99% maxed TH8 (valks in lab and 2 barracks need upgrading) I am at 800k heroic heist and 321mil gold grab, I feel you, I lose attacks a lot when using giants and arch (typical TH7 attack style) what I use is 12 giants 12 wb 24 barbs 60 arch and 32 gobs, it's very hard to get to 50% lol but I make it to the core easily 90% of the time (makes you wonder why lv5 giants are so weak when lv6 are so OP right? lol) I always deploy a few arch to pick off undefended buildings when I dont wanna lose cups, deploy barbs first then giants in groups of 3 or 2s just to distract for wb then wb to guide them and place a heal if needed then spam the last few giants and arch, follow up with wb to open up a path for gobs to hit the loot, normally 2 stars near max TH8s GL with farming lol
FOR THE WALL BREAKERS!!! you've probably noticed it but haven't really done anything about it or considered it when raiding, but the 50 new walls at TH8 means TH8s have a lot more "pockets" of things protected by walls, meaning once wb smash a compartment or "pocket" there will most likely be more pockets on the side closer to the wall breakers if you deploy from the outer perimeter, there are 2 ways to counter thisQuote:

lol but imo opening up side pockets not so bad, the giants distract more defenses so archers are free to kill the entire base untouched!
Do balloonion, it works for me and im a th8 with lvl 4 balloons and lvl 2 minions, going against th9s
Barch will be more faster to train and its 95% 1 star, which will equal a 2 star by the time ur giants r done. So you shud try barch
