New Spells for the next Update!

Here are some ideas for new spells:

Elixir of Frost
Cost: 2,500 Dark Elixir
Radius: 8
Duration: 12 seconds (at level 1)
Time to Create: 2 hours
Spell Factory Level Required: 5
Effect: For the duration of the spell, defenses inside the area of effect will no longer operate.

Potion of Destruction
Cost: 250 Green Gems
Radius: 6
Duration: Instant
Time to Create: 2.5 hours
Spell Factory Level Required: 6
Effect: All defensive buildings inside the area of effect are reduced to 1 health. The effect is instant. Subsequent damage will destroy the buildings.

Def not second one, I can think so many ways that can be abused

Second one is stupid. What happens if that spell plus lightning on townhall ? Easy win with spell only ?

both of those spells are extremely stupid, im sorry but id love to see your reaction when someone makes your town hall go to 1 hp and disables 2 of your mortars and a wizard tower in 5 seconds... cmon, thats absolutely ridiculous -_-
and who the ef is gunna spend 250 gems on a spell???? not only that, but then you have to wait 2 hours after u just spent what? $2.50? Tha F***?
i agree new spells should be added but not non logical ones.

Good point, I didn't think of that. Of course the effect should not apply to the town hall. I updated the original post to note that only defenses are affected. Other buildings, like the town hall, army camp, collectors, etc... would not be affected.

The 250 is just an example. Supercell would need to use their internal statistics to figure out the right price point. It could be 100 gems, 50 gems, or 500 gems for all that it matters. The point is that it costs gems.

To answer your question, who would spend gems on a spell? Currently, top level players all gem their troops, heroes, and spells immediately after battle anyway. Buying a spell for gems is not that much more of a stretch. But the Potion of Destruction would be available ONLY with gems (unlike regular spells).

The purpose for making a spell that is only available for purchase with gems is to allow players to distinguish themselves during battles and in replays - only the elite few will be able to use these powerful game items.

The number 12 is just an example. It could be 8, 4, 20, whatever...if this spell was added to the game it would be necessary to tune the duration so that its appropriate for the cost.

Most people don't buy any gems, so those who do would be in a small group. Either way, spending $2.50 once is no big deal but this lets you further distinguish yourself by spending money constantly. It also provides a nice change of gameplay from "cloud watching."
