First off I have Lvl 6 Balloons, Lvl 3 Minions, and Lvl 1 Lava Hounds. I do so so when playing around with ballooning on random attacks, but have failed pretty miserably both times I have tried to Balloonian in war. Both times I thought I had good targets to 100%, and failed miserably. Can someone give me pointers to what I am doing wrong?

Balloonian works best with heal spells since loons have fairly low hp.
Timing of the lava hound drop is important too since they move much faster than balloons

On the first video, you used rage spells way too late, especially on the northern 2 air defenses, so you did not have enough Balloons later in the raid.
The second video was not too bad for 2 stars. The main issue for that base was the air defenses were in a moat, so your line-deployment approach was good. For a 3 star victory, I would have tried a different attack strategy.
Bring in minions instead of archers :P regardless of level.

In the second video, a two-point attack should have been more effective instead of a linear one. Also, by using a lava golem, this attack becomes Lavaloons.
