I'm th9, in clan wars i only do 2 stars on th8 with gowipe (every time is a 80/99%).
I suck at attack with everithing.
Air attack, no star or only 1 star, never get the town hall (obiviusly agaist strong th8 or th9).
Now barch is impossible, try giant barch said one of my clanmates (12 giant), but every time the giant never go into the core of the base and walk around.
Without the bk and aq, never get more of 3 storage

I would suggest looking up videos on Youtube. There are a lot of good strategy breakdowns with commentary by people in the community. Start with strategies that use your highest lvl troops. Get comfortable with a strat, and then move on to learn the next one.
Believe me, I know how you feel. I recently started trying out Balloonion (Balloons/Minions) with lvl 5 loons and lvl 4 minions. I have failed all 3 tries, lol! I'm a guy in the clan who cleans up in clan wars and I attacked with this strat and looked like a complete NOOB! It was pretty great.
Rage quit and put all resources plus TH in a corner..
and u will become an attacking ace:cool:
Actual logic - Revenge attacks plan them then attack this will help you
P.S - This is how I learnt attacking
Golems to distract defenses, Pekkas to penetrate, and archers to clean up the scraps.
I'm bored of this game, start ballon lv 6 and try to go in cristal or master.
2 month ago, full of medium th8 (pink wall, lv 5 mortat ecc...) with 150/200k easy and 300/300 collector base.
Now is NO collectors base or a 100/100 if you l are lucky, and the storage raid have a max of 120k elixir in 4 spread out storage, only strong th9 or th8 are worth of the attacck.
Use 2 spell for 1 attacck? This isn't farming
