I'm not too sure if I understood your question, but here's an example of how this could work:
eg Lvl 1 Barbarian King Stats (min base points, not allowed to shift to other stats)
120 DPS (12 credit points)
1200 HP (12 credit points)
Movement speed 16 (16 credit points)
Lvl 2 Barbarian King Stats (let's say, 1 credit points to be added according to your choice)
So if I wanted a tougher king, I would place the credit point to HP, so I would get a king like this:
120 DPS
1300 HP
Movement speed 16
Of course, SC has to do the math for balancing, and maybe impose stat caps, but I think having a choice to develop a hero according to our needs is more fun. A super fast hero would be fun to watch... Lol...
