Hi, ive been farming on 1700 - 1900 cups, but the only bases with resources i see are TH 9 with two xbows, now with the new wizard tower and segmented designs i've been having a really hard time farming resources, with farming troops and without using spells, but i've seen some of you guys succefully farming at this trophy range and even higher, so my question is how do you do it?
I can't raid those th9's anymore after the Fourth WT, I'm waiting to see what other people say:)
You can't farm around 1700 with lvl 6 troops?
Wow that gives me little hope and less reason to get to 2000 cups... (I'm farming around 1550 right now and getting some good raids)
Seems like you would need to use more giants (15) and a rage spell... But if I were looking at your base I wouldn't even bother.. Where I am right now I can get away with 10 giants, 8 Wbs, 40 or so gobs, and the rest archers. Giants and Archers are Level 5, everything else is level 4.
You can't farm people with base like yours with only farming troops and no spells. Don't be silly, either drop trophy to farm or play trophy and gem.

I'm farming from 1300 to 2100, I'm using farming troops plus a healer if needed.
12-15 giants. Lvl6
8 wb lvl5
100 archers lvl6
1 healer lvl3
10 minions lvl5
Sometimes 20-30 goblins (trophy range 1300-1600, none at 1600+)
Archer queen/barbking
Occasionally one dragon lvl3.
3x lightning lvl 5
1x rage lvl1
Strat: go for air defenses, lightning cc troops, rage if raid is failing, throw healer with right timing
I still go for max mortars and wizard towers if loot is plentyful and not segmented
Wow--I was thinking of starting a thread just like this. I have been having a hard time raiding TH 9 lately (not including preme TH9ers). I would never, never, ever attempt to attack your base. I use only level 5 troops, and farming troops at that. I feel like the splash targeting correction has made life much more difficult on using goblins. I have recently stopped using them and am now trying Archers:Barbs:wbs 129:55:8, just to get more DPS on the defensive towers. We talk a lot about defense setup on these boards, but I would really like to see some talk of how to effectively attack good TH9 bases since the update.Quote:

Forgot to mention minions... I just started using them, and they are awesome. Take out an air defense and launch 10 of those guys, they are great in a pack.
I would like to see someone raid your base as well, and not use 6,7,8 lvl 3 dragons and 3 or 4 lightning spells. At that point, it is purely trophy based and you will not get enough resources to make it worth while (unless you have 500k / 500k avail to steal!)
This is easily a 3 starrable base if you throw Wizards, Pekkas, and Golems on it. There's like no base that can survive from this combo now. :o
For bases like this, you just need to go ALL OUT, meaning no Tier 1 bull♥♥♥♥ or being too cheap with spells.
I went from 1400 to 2086 and climbing with Lvl 5 Giant/WB/Barb/Archer/Gob. Can't say that I'm "farming" since I'm only attacking 30+ trophies bases. However, some of these bases had 200+/200+, and I have cleaned most of them.
What I've realized is you have to pretty much "zerg" these bases before the high level defenses, especially the X-Bows, take out your meatshields. It's quite tricky to mass deploy your troops while avoiding suffering too much splash damage. However, it is definitely doable.
