Just wanted to conduct a quick poll: How do you like your teslas? Inside, near the core so they can deal out major damage to high health troops like heroes and tanks like giants? Near the outside, popping up to zap wallbreakers? Around your outside townhall, because you're a total trolling ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Thanks, this'll help a lot!
Around the outside is the most effective
Depends on your trophy level I think. If you're at a farming range, then your best bet is to place your teslas outside / first layer of walls. If you're at a range where you're hit by strong armies / giants, it would also depend on your base layout. You can choose to put your teslas outside to lure defensive-targeting units (giants, golems etc.), leading up to giant bombs/spring traps or place all of them in the death core. :p

But since my elixir storages are exposed on my farming base, I put the teslas beside them.
Inside the core, since they are the only point defense in the core aside from xbows. All my cannons and archer towers are in the outer ring.
for my th8 antihog base, it is outside (roundhouse)
for my war base, it is in the core and 1 outside the base (oski war formation- modified... it is very good- beats hogs and drags)
