According to the wiki, they spawn every 8 hours...so it's more about how little you play over a long period of time.

Vegetation respawns at a rate of one item per eight hours. Rocks stay gone once removed.
it can only be an activity thing. I've never seen the 'obstacles' spawn when I'm online. I'm sure i've logged off, come back on few mins later, and they're magically there.
So if as you say you're clearing them as/when you see them and have a free builder...either you've kept your builders busy...or you're not getting the 3 a day.
500 / 3 = 166.6, so you should have been able to complete it in 6 months. I think that you start with 40, so this would of course reduce the time.
Trying having more then 20 big tree and 3 christmas tree in a max base except for walls and completed the achievement ^^

I got that acheivemnet so long ago that I can't remember, even approximately, what level I was.
OT - i still have 2 Christmas trees, but haven't seen any while raiding for months. Do people here ever see them while raiding?

Actually,I think it isn't fair.I started playing this BEFORE the even the Halloween update.I got to th6 and cleared everything.
At L92, maggie has only cleared 435/500 vegetations. :(
On the other hand, des - who is coincidentally mostly sleeping - completed the achievement in L50+

This little Potato does not have green CoC thumbs...
Im lvl 90 and have only cleared 293 items.
The reason for this was that before the wb-update they had a tactical advantage just like decorations, people could not place troops on them. I only started clearing them again after that update. I miss my forrest :(
At level60 i have removed 829. I don't know if that's purely because I go on main account more though. Also my mains on my iPad so it's easier to play!
