Lightning spell problem and ideas to change it

This issue has been brought up and addressed, you apparently have never seen it before. How many times can someone repeat the same thing. Read rules and sticky's. Thread should be closed. It is what it is, SC will not do anything about it no matter how much people gripe.

With this "not well thought" logic. If I am raiding someone, use a lighting spell on an ad/mortar/wiz twr and the de storage happens to be by, I would get penalized when the de storage was not my original target.... Play the game or get played. "Don't hate the player....hate the game" Yes, it stinks getting your de hit by lightning spell, it stinks if you are a th8 or lower and get owned by dragons, it stinks that no one searches for topic before posting a thread that has been posted 1000 times. Get over it and get revenge. What's the phrase I am looking for.....oh yeah, Man up or shut up, as long as you are playing within the boundaries of the game..all is fair. Sandbox stinks too, but people use it, I got over it, so should you.

Are there a million threads like this? Probably. Link to the original thread would be wonderful if you have it. It's so hard to search for the original through the mass amount of posts it's no wonder there are repeat posts. It's not ruled out, so the thread isn't closed. Stop putting points from multiple problems into one post and dismissing them all. Quit being a negative nancy and let people express their ideas (Yes, even if they've already been mentioned, and if they have already been mentioned, link them to the thread so they can bump it. If you are even able to find it in the first place. The thread I made about increasing the efficiency of the search function wasn't even bumped once.). Instead of griping about people griping, be helpful and search for the very first original thread and lead them to it. The only feedback you're giving is "Quit complaining" on a forum thats sole purpose is to bring up complaints with suggestions. That's like going to a baseball game and yelling "Stop cheering on the teams". You end up looking like a fool and a jerk to everyone around you. If you don't like it, don't go to the game.

I don't seem to have a problem with this, even tho i do hear complaints from members in my clan about it. Maybe this is because i earn and spend my DE so fast, there is only a small window in witch zapping is even some what profitable.

My suggestion:

I don't want any extra buildings or to increase hit points, but maybe it would make sense if Teslas could ground lighting strikes or absorb some of the damage from lighting strikes that land with in there effective range. Would still need to have full effect on troops and one shot building like hero beds, builder hut ect.

My solution:
I liked where you were going with number 4, however I want to tweak that idea a bit. Have all the storage's (not just DE) have loot taken based off of how much is in the container. For example, if I have 20K DE in my storage that can contain up to 80K DE (lvl 4 storage), if someone were to attack that structure, they would have to destroy 3/4 of the structure before they could tap into the DE that it provides (20K/80K = 1/4 of DE storage). I would like this theory to apply to Gold and Elixer storages as well, but as compensation, make %30 of the storages lootable, that would decrease the effectiveness of zapping and increase the amount of loot that can be stolen from other bases. Let me know of your feedback.

isn't this way how thinks work? i thought it kinda was, there is a bit exposed in the first 50% if u have 50% full storages but the massive is in the last 50%. I think it is this way because when i raid th7s with 50 stealable DE the resource just come in the last storage living second.

Hey, i bet that as th7 this is almost the only way to do it. Except if you are a hardcore player or have a special tatic, zapping is the only way to steal from th8 or above.

No, loot is gained proportional to the amount of damage given to the specific target - in this case DE storages, if the potential is 500 DE for a level 1 storage has 2000 HP, so it would take 4 damage to steal 1 DE etc etc.

I don't actually know the ratio for storage looting, so you may be right, and that there already is a system in place like this, but not exactly as how my idea was portrayed. Seeing it from the perspective of a TH7 zapping is still an annoyance, but it's understandable. I still believe the ratio's need to be changed further than they are now, but with that argument this thread will become an "I agree/disagree" knowing the reasons behind both arguments.

I think linear gains based on the "fullness" is a good idea that I've posted before. You get nothing for the empty part of a storage first, then get loot as you attack the full part of the storage.

For example, if the storage has 1000 hit points and it is 40% full, then for the first 600 hit points the attacker gets nothing. For the last 400 hit points, they get a linear distribution of the loot for every hit.

And I think this should apply to all storages, mines, drills, pumps. Actually - the DE drill seems to do this already - pay attention the next time you attack one and you see you won't get any DE for the first several shots.

Kind of looking forward to reaching TH7 so I can start on my Barbarian King through zapping. If TH10's don't want to get zapped, move up. Isn't the purpose of the game to steal resources from other villages to better yours? Not sure why DE should be exempt.
