[GUIDE] How to BARCH like a pro!

Hi! I thought I'd share my tips on how to BARCH effectively. I hope you enjoy reading this and any feedback would be much appreciated. :)

I- What is BARCH?
BARCH is a cheap army that consists of barbarians and archers. It is mainly used for farming, or if you are short of elixir and still want to gain some trophies using a inexpensive army. BARCH is not a strategy that will get 3 stars, but this is a possibility. Although some may think that BARCH is used by beginners who only have level 2 barracks, it can actually be used by any player of any level. BARCH is not a hard strategy to use, and you get the hang of it as you move up and become more advanced at the game. However, there is a tiny bit of strategy involved when BARCHING (I will explain this in section III).

II-My recommended army composition for BARCH
For BARCH, I recommend using the same amount of barbarians as you do archers. Even though BARCH doesn't have anything to do with wall breakers in the name of the strategy, I suggest taking a few anyway. Some people also like to take a few giants to act as 'meat-shields'. Here is my army composition for BARCH (I can hold 190 troops):
-87 barbarians
-87 archers
-8 wall breakers
I admit, maybe 8 wall breakers are too much but it is nice to know that if you are struggling to get inside the base, you always have a load of wall breakers to help out :).

III-How to attack using BARCH
Barbarians-The part they play
When BARCHING, barbarians are meant to act as a "meat-shields" for your archers.
Archers-The part they play
Whilst the barbarians are distracting the defences, archers stay protected and damage any buildings. They will do most of the work while the barbarians shield them.
Deploying troops
When attacking, it is always best to lure out the clan castle troops, but when BARCHING, it won't matter too much if you don't unless there is something lethal in there. To lure out the clan castle troops, just drop a few archers or barbarians. If the clan castle is centralized, you will just have to deal with the troops in there later (if there are any troops). Next you have to deploy your barbarians all around the base (I do this by drawing a circular shape around the base). Then you deploy your archers in the same way as you deployed your barbarians. Now all you have to do is sit back and relax. Occasionally you may have to deploy some wall breakers here and there, but, on the whole, BARCHING is not a hard task :).
Some people like to deploy groups of barbarians and archers. This can lead to success IF the splash damage defences (mortars, wizard towers, etc.) are taken out first.

To finish of, I just wanted to say that BARCH is an AWESOME farming strategy. I remember when I BARCHED a whiled back and gained 200K of each resource (excluding the DE, of course)! And I managed to gain some extra trophies too. So this is how great BARCHING can be when you do it right. It is just a brief guide on how to BARCH effectively. Nothing huge, I know, but I just wanted to help people BARCH because right now, BARCH is the strategy that I use most because I am farming. Supercell haven't put a limit on how many BARCH guides can be posted lol :)

yup. Add some pictures and this will help a lot of aspiring barchers out there. :D Mention the best trophy range for each barch level. Also try to put other strategies in deploying barch rather than the usual "circle around the base".

From one barcher to another, I personally don't recommend deploying troops in a circular manner. I place them where the majority of the collectors/storages are situated. Usually just 2 sides.

A pro guide would include how to conserve the most troops so you can make a push into core for storages, which spells, etc. this is a "how to barch like a beginner" guide

Barch is my favorite! :p

I usually loot about 200k+ with it but the most I looted was on a (Mid) TH 8 with my level 4 barchers (without spells) & I managed to get to the storage as well & gain 300k+ of each (gold & elixir) along with 1k DE. & No, it wasn't all in the collectors. In fact, collectors were almost empty.

Once you get the hang of this strategy, it works wonders!!!

By the way, BARCH isn't a hard strategy, so we don't need a huge guide just for BARCH. It is simple yet informative, so if this guide does not work for you then I am sorry. Guides do not need to be long and complicated. Short guides are also helpful.
On the other hand, thank you for the feedback, however, constructive critiscm would be appreciated much more than these complaints about how this short guide is NOT a guide.

Your guide is incomplete. You could add a lot more information to it that would help people understand how to BARCH more effectively. Here are some additions you could make that would change this from a couple BARCH tips to an actual BARCH guide:
- What bases to attack with screen shots (sniping collectors on the outside, Penetrating Core)
- Discussing Trophy Ranges for each TH level which are most profitable for BARCHing
- How to deploy troops with screen shots (circling the entire base, dropping a handful on defenses to distract while archers remove defenses, disregard defenses and rush collectors/mines)
- Common pitfalls to avoid when BARCHing

Not true. It isn't that simple! Most people only use it for collector raids whereas if you are experienced enough in it, you can even make storage raids on even TH levels 1+ than you.

It's nice that you make guides but the guides are for people, not for you, or am I wrong? If people are criticizing, then you aren't supposed to ask them to stop commenting or criticizing. You are supposed to take it as a positive thing & make the additions which your viewers are asking you to.

Criticisms are helpful in making you an experienced guide maker only if you know how they help instead of taking them negatively. No one has any special hate towards you, they just want you to make your guides a little better so that you get more viewers & so that they benefit more from it.

Either don't make guides since people criticize or simply take ideas from the comments like everyone else does & make your guide a little better.

Omg

OMG, we use the same troop count, same goes with the wallbreakers, I always bring 8. I usually support it with 3 heal spells specially when hunting for gold or elix but 3 lightning spell if for DE.

Lol cool. When BARCHING, I dont bother with spells. Dont need them :)

I don't worry about the Clan Castle either, but it can certainly bite you. Today I hit a base that had 2 Witches in the CC, and oh that went badly for me....

This is a pretty good guide. I would only really add the fact that barch is mostly about efficiency, and also possibly outline that, if someone is barching for trophies or to get storages, thebest form is pretty much lure, take out the outlying buildings around where they want to punch in to take out possible distractions for their troops, and then do a mass attack on the inside (assuming they can deal with splash damage).
