Convince me! Why shouldnt i go th10?

Hey all!

So in 6 hours my xbow is finishing up, when its done im a max th9 (as far as def goes) i still got 2 barracks thats missing an upgrade or two but thats it.. (edit: also missing 2 levels on de drills)

heroes are level 11 and 10.

Upgrades: rage and jump is missing a level. Pekka is lvl 3, golem is working on lvl 3. Witch and the rest are done.

Whats stopping me from going TH10?

Kinda wanna just save to 4 mill now and just go for it today..!

Id rather have 5 worker working than 4 just chillin for days cus im gonna save for walls or whatnot.. and th10 is 14 days build so im gonna have time for barracks and some walls in the meantime..

What u guys think? When did u go th10?!

If your walls are level eight or below then you shouldn't go to TH10.

But now that u can upgrade walls using elixir as well, is it worth having 5 idle workers do nothing whilst waiting to upgrade walls? If all walls should be lvl 9 before going th10 my workers are gonna be idle for a long time, would that be worth it?

Isnt it better to upgrade walls as you go? I would most likely have all walls lvl 8 before th10 finishes up seein how "i dont need gold" anymore.

Go to ten. Dont let anyone talk nonsense to you. Even the walls wont matter. Just get those inferno towers and enjoy the most OP defense ever.

I think you should go to th10, loot is not that bad.

Yeah, over here in Master so many Th10 with nothing more than TH8 defenses...but have 2 lvl3 sticks and max Xbows. And there is nothing a TH9 troop can do. You attack em, you lose 30 cups. Kinda sick lol

But take note, never go to Masters when you are a premmie TH10 and still doing upgrades to the inferno and Xbows. Will be defeat 3 stars easily.

I'd like to get my walls and heroes to a higher level first in your position, but going to TH10 now isn't a very bad choice. :)

If you are Ok with ending your COC career with lego walls or less, go to 10 now. If not, stay at 9 for a while. You will end up finishing your TH10 defenses with nothing to do but grind three levels of walls. I know there are exceptions, but most people will lose interest at that point.

Enjoy being a easy 3 star in wars due to bad walls.

Unlike any other town hall levels, th 10 doesn't really have pre-requisite from your village development. You can upgrade to th 10 from any previous town hall level. Won't be that much different anyway since th 10 is in a real different league by itself. What you actually need is a certain set of mentality. Be prepared for low loot gain, long raiding sessions, gem spending and upgrades which take weeks.

A decent rusher go to th 9 and stay a while th 10 being farm to restrictive on farming rate.

If you ever have any intention on having a max TH10 personally I would stay and finish everything you can (lvl 10 walls and lvl 30 heroes).

The above poster is right that loot is significantly worse at TH10 (in terms of your available pool of players and TH's you can raid) and it will just take you that much longer. Since all your loot is going to be primarily coming from TH9/10s it will also cost much more for a proper army in most cases (especially on anyone who isn't a premie).

Also, I do agree that by the time you max out defensively at TH10 you will be done with the game before you can max 3 or even 4 rounds of walls. I've seen so many max defensive TH10's with weak walls and heroes I can't even begin to count them all.

Having idle builders isn't real a huge deal as you approach end-game. It's bound to happen at some point. Whether you have idle builders while you farm walls at TH9 or TH10 it's just inevitable either way.

But really, it just depends on what your goals are for the game. If you feel you are ready for TH10 there's nothing really stopping you from doing it.

If your walls are only skulls than you really should have had a builder free for walls the whole time. If you don't farm enough to have done Lego's while farming defense than you shouldn't have bought the last builder as it only makes it harder for people not to be premie. I'd stay and do Lego's as it walls make a dramatic difference in wars when it comes to 3 stars and even 2 stars. All strats that ignore walls can be protected against and kept to only a 1-2 star with a solid base design.

There are a ton of th8 abandoned bases out there. Seems like most people give up the grind at th8 so you will lose all those abandoned bases. I'd work on heros and walls for a few weeks or so and try to finish ths Lego's at least. St th10 pace yourself better and keep a builder free don't just rush towers.

I guess u guys are right, as soon as i hit th10, its gonna take a few months but when def i done, game is done ^_^

Easier to grind as a th9 than th1 for those walls..! Ill stay th9 a month or two just going crazy on wall and hero upgrades!

Loot penalty is for bullies. If you farm in the right range, your builders will work 24/7 no problem.
I have a rushed TH10 (9month old, no gem, 4builders) & rushed TH9 (2 months old, no gem, 3builders) in clan Rushed One and had no problem finding loot.

i would get both your de drills to lvl 6 first. i mean its 200 dark per hour, with 3 lvl 6 drills your rocking 300/hour.

Haven't read any replies yet, but to address the idle builders thing...

Having idle builders shouldn't even factor into your decision. The upgrades are soooo expensive that you're inevitably going to have a few builders idle almost all the time now with everything already maxed at the th9 level, and the amount of idle builder time is only going to increase (after, of course, you catch up with the new buildings you get with th10).

If you eventually want to have level 10/11 walls and max heroes I think you have to stay at th9. I'm not about to do the math right now, but at 1 and 3 million a pop, maximizing your raiding efficiency (i.e. keeping your loot penalty at a minimum) is going to make a huge difference in the end and I'd bet you'd save time in the long run just dumping all your gold and elixir into walls now as opposed to upgrading to th10, upgrading all your defenses again, then moving on to walls/doing them alongside defense upgrades (by "saving time in the long run," I'm considering being a completely maxed th10--walls, heroes, the whole shebang--as your goal/endgame.)

If you simply can't wait to have those infernos, a freeze potion, and the others benefits of th10 then do what you gotta do. Personally I wouldn't do it for a number or reasons, a few of which I've mentioned.

I am sure you know this by now, but if you havnt finished your walls from your previous townhall, then its a safe bet they will never get finished.

Basically if you don't finish your walls you are settling, that's fine i personally like weak walled townhall 10's. They make for great easy loot in clanwars.

If you feel that you are ready to move up then, by all means do so! But I think that you should try to upgrade your heroes and walls a bit more but other than that you are ready to go! Whenever you're ready, you're ready! Move up if you like, but I would personally stay and upgrade the heroes and walls a bit more. I hope this helped. :)

I need more th10s preemies to farm :)

I'd get those drills up to lvl 6 and then all barracks max. Elixer is a huge need for initial TH10s (new drill, camps, troops). Get everything out of the way. I'd also recommend lvl 15 heros at least.

ya cause th 9s can only have lvl 3 golems they dont destroy th 10s.....
im lego walling atm and staying th 9. Got my champs 17 bk and 15 aq. Do what you want but its much easier farming th 8s-9s for fast loot and de bonus in crystal 2

This game takes patience or money.. I think you should stay th9 until you have better walls and complete upgraded.. My best friend just went th10 recently and wanted the "sick inferno towers" yeah his defense is good, but his walls are bad, and now hes playing catch up. Dealing with ♥♥♥♥ty loot..
Just my .02 I would wait. It takes discipline to not upgrade to TH10.. Finish your walls then go

I just have max defense th9 a week ago. All lvl 9 walls. Abd heroes at lvl15, now is grinding for lvl10 walls and max heroes. ETC 3-4 months. Meh..:(
