Just a quick opinion on whether level 6 baloons are a worthy troop. I understand they're not for everyone. I have used them at 2400+ and they do fine depending on deployment strategy.
I've even had them used against me and I lost. So just a thread to debate baloons (obviously other troops are better/worse)
Perhaps as a medium tier type spam troop. Purely curious.

They are BRUTAL with rage against moderately air defended bases, but add an x-bow to that and you will struggle.

Although i do have just moderated air defense (3 level 4), but majority of players have similar air defense.
I often got revenged with 6 dragons and i dont recall them did as much damage as those balloons. That was the only time i give full respect to that guy, some skills he got.
ps: he didnt even need to lighting one of my air defense. (where as all the dragons attacked i got usually destroy 1 AD first)

Seems like balloons are only effective when in a large group.
Anything lesser than say 15(?) would be ineffective, right ?
You are correct, without proper meat shields a small number of balloons is weak. However, a big bunch of them will one-shot anything.Quote:
