What lengths have you went to in order to win a raid?

People who only farm will most likely not be able to add much to this thread as they usually farm bases which are much weaker than they are... but for myself, and many others I'm assuming, I'm up at 2100-2200 trophies. I had no idea how hard it would have been up here, and there's been two different ways I have managed to win raids so far which I thought were quite amusing. I know if I were watching it on a replay I would be annoyed.

1. I was on 49% and before my last archer died I used a lightning spell on a builders hut.
2. Same applies to above, except I was on 49%, an xbow was about to take out my wixard before it struck and I used a lightning spell on the town hall, resulting in a 2 star victory.

Has anyone else had to use lightning spells in such a way? Or know of any other extremities they have taken just to win?

Not much more you can do/expand on for desperation wins. Perhaps throw in a king or queen when you had no intention of doing so and knowing it'll cost them 2 hours of sleep time to get that last 1%. I think in my newbie days out of desperation for a trophy I have thrown some wb's out there hoping to destroy something....

I was trophy hunting, at 49%, put a WB out, the increased splash kills a barrack, getting me the win. I have also lightninged a hut.

Yes, I've lightninged the builder hut a time or two when I cared about winning.

That is brilliant.

Oh, I forgot to add number 3: I used a rage spell on two archers to be able to destroy the rest of an army camp and a spell factory which weren't in range of defences before the timer ran out.

I guess the new WB's can destroy buildings now with the splash damage. Too bad the last time I did it was with the old WB's so I looked the fool instead.

I was tempted once to use that lightning on the builder's hut, but reason won and I kept my spell.

Some guy REALLY wanted my town hall (that was within walls but in range of very little defenses) so he tried to lightning it as his last troops died. I'm at 1200 trophies.
