Clan Chat - Remove Message Feature

I am part of a kid-friendly clan (and before you say above 13+, yes we have 13+ members) and we are trying to keep the chat as clean as possible. I think an excellent option would be to allow elders/co-leaders to remove messages that are inappropriate that have been posted by members. This would allow messages that contain profanity to be removed and the offending member removed. It is great to be able to kick the member that is not abiding by the clan rules, but that still leaves the offending message in the chat for all to view until the chat fills enough to remove the message.

I don't think multiple f* bombs are appropriate even for a 13 to have to be exposed to if they have chosen responsibly and are part of a clan that tries to abide by clean chat rules.

Thanks for such a great game, but I think you would have a lot more families and members (more money for Supercell :) ) if some of these items were implemented to make parents feel a little bit more at ease for allowing their children to enjoy such a wonderful game that teaches them about strategy and teamwork.

No, we should allow messageing.

This isn't such a bad idea. Maybe put a cap-time on it like what happened for elders with the kick-cooldown. Elders can remove one inappropriate comment every 30 minutes. And the Post itself doesn't disappear so people don't essentially "mute" other players; the comment is just replaced by "This comment was censored by (Elder)." Then it's your responsibility to remove the offending player. If you don't remove the player, then it's your own fault you continue to have offenses. This would help prevent abuse of your good idea i think.

I am in a clan where almost no one is below 20 years of age. We like to keep our chat clean and healthy. Sometimes, when new players join, they leave after a couple minutes. They also abuse before going, which none of us like. So please SC, consider this idea. Also, the cooldown period should be about 5 mins.. Coz a person can go dropping f bombs and spam the whole chat.

While this is possible, I kind of think it's the responsibility of elders or leaders to remove the person after one offense if it's such a big deal. A 5 minute cooldown wouldn't stop the offender from dropping 10 f bombs and taking off - they could still only remove one every 5 minutes.... Just elder some active players that will be available to deal with the problem and leave the cool down feature the same. Just my opinion though.

Alright buddy, agreed. Although, one possibility is thag u remove the cooldown period. It's given to an elder. So there is some trust n faith in him. I don't see a point in keeping cooldown period anymore.

We should just keep it how it is. If you don't like the swearing, then put it isn't the clan rules.m we shouldn't discontinue the chat, just cuz a couple teens are swearing.

I think u don't understand what we are saying. M 15 lol. But if someone swears in my clan.. It sometimes is acceptable. But not if som1 spams their way in the chat. N buddy these swears often tend to get personal. We are here to clash with other clans n not ourselves. Think about it. Then post.

Also what we are requesting, is to add a choice, we are not saying that swear words shouldn't be used.

I agree there should be a way to censor the chat.

One (not great) solution in the mean time is that the clan chat can only hold so many messages (100 I think) so you could remove the offender and then spam the chat with the idea of pushing the message off the bottom.

Just a childish thing, but lol it's funny.. Just spam your way in.
