Framing or Trophy Base for Pushing

I was curious on what people's opinion was on the type of base to use for a push to Champs. Is it worth the loss of resources for winning defenses or should I put my TH outside and take the 1 or 2 star loss, but increase the odds of my resources not getting ganked? I am currently in Crystal 1 right now and have not been past Masters 2 before. I won 8 Defenses last night but lost about 8k DE and 700k elixir. Obviously the higher I climb, the less defenses I will win.

FWIW- I am a TH 10 and have all level 9 walls and all defenses/traps, other than my Archer Towers, are maxed.

If all you have to upgrade are walls and archer towers, I'd probably stick with a trophy base. However, you should think about how much you want your heroes to upgrade.
