Barching does the job for me. It's cheap, fast to train & fun to use. I make 200k+ easily with it along with a 50% (On a TH 7/8) if I wanna go for a few trophies. As for DE, I use spells with barch & it works well.
BArch normally, BAM if level 3+ minions.
I use (24-28) lvl 5 balloons with (30-40) lvl 3 minions or barch with 6 wall breakers. I stay in C3, and start on the side with the most resources when raiding.

9 giants, 8 wb, 50 barbs, 79 arch, 30 gobs
I've used a purely barch army before but find it limits me in the bases I can go after. This comp is still fairly quick and cheap but I can core dive when I want to
Barching customized with 100 archers, 40 barbarians, 40 goblins, 10 wall breakers (Town Halls 8 and 7, two accounts same strats).
If I don't get enough collector raids or too many good storage raids I switch to 12 giants, 2 healers, 16 wizards, 6 wall breakers, 36 archers.
Edit: Forgot the trophy level
Th7 trophy level 1250+ Targets maxed th6/ 50-65% maxed th7s.
Th8 trophy level 1700 -1850 Targets maxed th7/75% maxed th8.

I've actually taken to the campaign with the goblins. You can destroy most if not all with 100 archers, 50 barbs, 5 wb, and a king, and for safety purposes, two dragons that I rarely use. I'm reigning in 150k-500k every thirty minutes or so.
If I went out to farm, I'd go for a BARCH combo as well. Bring a few lightning spells just in case. I've recently been experimenting with a archer, barb, drag combo. And so far I'll get two stars and 100k+ in loot.
