Do vault cores work as a th9?

Vault cores are when you have the gold storages in the core. Generally CC in middle with 4 storages around it (cross shape)

Please post your opinion on whether or not you think these work as a th9. Obviously you are screwed if the attacker gets to the core, but does it help/hurt gold loss or defensive capabilities?

I prefer to spread my storages about --- I love seeing a base with a vault in the centre ---- Minions will rage through it like a knife through butter ......... :o

Spread it out, I love seeing a base with all the loot in one spot, makes for an easy grab

I love to raid vault base. Just get your army in the middle and thank you for the loot!

As said before, vault bases are extremely easy to get into with the right army. The main issue with them is once a path is opened up with some giants, maybe even barbs, a stream of goblins make it really easy to take all the gold.

I've found that vault cores are underrated. A good Barch attacker can often pick off two elxir or gold storages if the base is not a vault core. However, all in one place is not 100% ideal. I'd recommend a mix somewhere at th8, but at th9 I'd argue against a vault core every time.

I don't think you should do that as a Town Hall 9.

Bad idea.. Any decent th9 or th10 attacking you can break into a core and take all your loot pretty easily.

Vault cores are good if you are getting barched a lot, they are bad if the enemy is coming with a real army.
