Reset trophies every 1-3 months

I have read and watched a lot of Clash of Clans videos, and one thing they all seem to have in common is the fact that high level players "boost" trophies using their clans and sub-clans. I've seen Bonbee Canada in the top clans since the beginning of CoC, and I think its about time that players get a legitimate shot at the 20,000 gem bonus, instead of it repeatedly going to the same people.

Players attempting to climb trophies are forced to gem just to maintain elixir as everyone can easily 2 star any base in the 2800+ range.

What I propose is a trophy reset every 3 months. All players trophies and all clans trophies will be reset to 0, giving everyone a fair shot where attacks are based on skill. Only the strongest will go straight to the top. If the top clans are that confident in there skill, this should be no problem.

People wouldn't be forced to gem as much to save elixir as brackets are easier to climb, however the true gemmers will be forced to pay much more in gems if they wish to stay ahead of the curve. Plus for SuperCell, and a plus for the average player.

It's been suggested before. It would be interesting for sure. I don't think the top guys would be terribly happy about it though.

I really like this idea, and I think the majority of people would. I could be wrong though, and as you mentioned the players currently on the top would probably not like this.

A lot of people would not want to push to the very top if you tell them you're going to take away all their hard work every few months. Its like telling a farmer that his walls would be reset to make farming more "interesting".

The highest anyone would climb that is a casual player is like maybe 1800 a CASUAL player hardcore players would get to around Master, and during this triphy reset everyone would be open to attacking anyone. TH 10's would be grouped in with TH 3's to 9's. It would cause a loot anarchy, all bases would be grouped and inactive people would remain at 0 so getting loot after everyone "climbed" would be simple drop to 0-100 trophies. After all that's where all the bases that never play would be, in a way it would ruin the already ruined loot system everyone wouldn't want to climb, and the purpose of the game is ruined. (They wouldn't want to climb because all the inactives would remain at 0 of course)

Also I forgot to mention that if you were on right after the reset happened, technically anyone could get themselves ahead putting in reasonable matches in the system TH 10 vs. TH 5-7's. Once stability sets in (it won't for the loot situation as I explained above) than it would be reset into this crazy process over again it would be a 'interesting mess'

What about farmers who just want to stay in our leages farming. I would never want to push back up every 3 or so months. I know it seems like a long time, but I would find it a bit annoupying. No offense to the OP

On the flip side, low trophies would be a chaotic mess of TH9-10 attacking TH5-6s

No... this would get super annoying to have to push back up into the right trophy range. Also think about about how much it would stink if you were in Masters pushing to Champs then got stuck back in Bronze III....
