Why zapping is, in fact, an issue

I don't have a problem with zapping. I never used to do it, but I've dropped the odd bolt more recently. If you need to free up the space for other spells, what else are you gonna do with it.

The reality is that zapping is very expensive in terms of lix, which isn't as readily available at higher TH levels as it used to be. Walls, CW etc. are eating into lix.

It's also time consuming. Zappers realistically take 1.5 - 2.5 hrs to cook the zaps. You can gem, or boost your SF, (which is cheaper now), but that's also expensive.

The loot bonus was removed almost a year ago which reduced the benefit of zapping higher TH lvls.

I agree with that some of the usual arguments countering the zap complainers are pointless. Revenge them - that really does take far too much effort. They never have any loot and if they do they will be online or have a shield. Revenging zappers is a waste of time and effort.

Having said that changing your trophy range is not an irrelevant counter. If you're a higher TH farming in zap territory, you are there to bully weaker bases for loot. DE zapping is one cost that needs to be considered in selecting your trophy range. Go up, you're more protected form zappers, but farming is less efficient.

Zapping puts someone on my radar.

A TH 8 sniped and zapped me for 1.2k DE last week. little gold and elixir taken.

I revenged. Yes i did have a net loss with DE cos i used my ready trained hog army. But i got back the 1.2 k DE plus nearly 200k gold and over 300k elixir. In return he learned a valuable lesson and a 16h shield. I know, I'm too kind

however. As much as I hate being zapped the 1.2 k loss was far less than the 2.4k DE taken from me as a TH10.

Its also a bit more of a problem in Gold than it ever was for me in crystal 2

Should it even be possible for you to get past his Infernos? Think about it, if you could get to the core of his base as a TH9 and clear it in a profitable way, then what's the point in going to TH10? Just a thought

But ... Should me being a TH9 automatically rule out me being able to revenge?

Should a TH 10 'picking' on me or me a TH9 'picking' on a TH 8 be able to get a way with it without the possibility to get any back?

The best tactic in battle is the one that can't be countered. If it hurts your feeling so much than find and play a feel good game. Or stop pretending to be all high and mighty in a game and just do it yourself if you think it's so effective.
