I really think it is bogus that people can lightning your dark elixer. Perhaps a little lightning rod at higher levels to lower the loss associated with lightning.
P.s. Please don't jump down my throat if this has already been mentioned. It is a good idea though.
One thing I'm curious about. What made you think of a lightning rod and not simply have storages simply take less damage from lightning spells? (sort of like how instead of goblins doing 2x dmg on resources, lightnings do 0.5x)
I suppose this is the more simple solution. I just think the top is kinda boring anyway and it could be a visual modification. So a reason to get higher level storages.Quote:

Of course its been suggested before, people hate being zapped. Doesnt mean SC will ever do anything about it. One of the Mods even said that they have no intention of mitigating zapping whatsoever...

Nothing should be done to stop lightning spells from zapping anything. If anyone can zap storage's, it's called fair.
i made a thread about this yesterday and thres too many noobs on the forums to understand this is a problem. everyone on here just told me to stop complaining its part of the game to deal with it.
Specially with the 1 gem boost on spell factory this just happens 10 times as much, supercell did a update on it once and decrease how much it can be stolen , but its still pretty stupid if you ask me!
I got zapping sometimes but i think go to higher throphy is good to evade zapping but there much de hunter that can level your base at higher thropy so make sure your de is always low (use it when u can use)
Yeah, it is aweful when you've saved 60-70k DE and you're right on the edge of a new upgrade and you get zapped. Then, you have to go raid because some lvl 50 something punk spent 80k elixer to steal 1,500 DE. Annoying!Quote:

Until de storage is made somewhat more lightening resistant or we are give a choice to buy a lightning rod with gems I will revenge every Zapper. I got zapped three times today in gold 1 with three and four lightnings each. So far I have revenged two of the three and not only got almost all of the DE back and also netted more than 30 trophies and 100000 gold. It is a weak link in the game design, and annoying, but revenge is the right response. Sometimes I make 4 lightnings and for revenge just light up their storage. That way they get no sheild, and trophies are meaningless to most players

One guy in that enormous thread had a good suggestion. At town hall 8 you don't produce nearly enough de, If this was increased so a TH8 could upgrade the Drill to higher level's the zap's would not be nearly as bad.
Does not work that well when the zapper is a TH 7 and you are a TH9 or TH8 vs TH10. a 50% loot penalty would net you nothing near what they got from you most of the time. Go ahead and revenge....I would love a 100% shield for a 50% available loot loss!!Quote:

no, Lightning deals damage, and resources are given proportional to the damage dealt to the storage or collectoe. If you are a TH10 and are running low on DE and are being zapped, Zap other th10's. if you have an average Th10 base, most they will get is two stars, maybe three if revenger is good. that way, if your storage placement is right, your defenses will protect it and you keep your DE. If they do steamroll your base, oh wel. its a th10 vs th10. what are you gonna do about it?Quote:
