Has there always been the clan castle in the game? Because i saw a maxed th8 base without a built clan castle and was wondering if that player never bought it or if they quit before it came out.

He probably just didn't build one lol.
The cc has always been in the game, not really clash of clans without the clan bit....
But, they just recently introduced the whole, 'clash', bit as well. You know, the whole, 'clan wars', thing...Quote:

I haven't been playing this long but yes, i've heard of these types of bases. TH8's that don't have all of their storages. Maybe CC was something you could sell at one point.Quote:

If he had quit before the game introduced the cc (however i think it has always been there) you wouldnt be able to find him i dont think....it would have rebuilt it yet i guess.
Sounds somewhat inconvenient to leave an unmovable building in the middle of your base :p
