What do you remember about clash that you take for granted now?

What do you remember from earlier in your clash days that has changed and you now take for granted?

Some of mine are:

• Village edit mode - moving everything to the sides whilst you tried to create a base, and finding a base where someone had got distracted half way through and you could grab all their loot!
• CC Requests - not being able to specify a troop you wanted (actually this was quite nice in the noob days, no arguing about what you got, just seemed grateful!)
• No kicking cooldown for elders - remember having fun when the clan was on anyone can join and we got people trolling, join - kick - join - kick lol In my first clan, once this went on for about 3 hours with the same people.

I am pretty sure clan search and using elixir on walls will fall into this some day!

What are yours?

Oh my gosh I completely forgot that the specific donation request wasn't always part of the game. I definetely think that is what I take for granted the most.

Village edit mode was the biggest one for me. Took hours to design a base without it.

I've only been playing for around a year so since I was playing I think sharing replays with clanmates is the biggest one since I started.

I really want my spells to cost gold again.

I remember losing all your troops when your camps were destroyed

No loot bonus / penalty

no dark troops or de

no "reporting" in global

having our levels displayed next to our names before leagues started

I'm not 100% on this, but I think I remember there were no spells

I think it might have been after the Christmas/January theme finished. Not entirely sure though

I just joined this summer, so I have no knowledge of CoC before that. Although, the advanced clan search option is awesome. It makes things so much easier.

Trap levels and rearming I remember having to buy and place all of my traps again if they were triggered during a raid I also remember how expensive it was to buy giant bombs over and over again but that may be just because I was a lower level an thus didn't have as much gold...also wallbreaker ai and wall spikes...

Being able to select & rotate a whole row of walls is nice...
Moving them all one by one before the village edit mode was a right p.i.t.a...

I miss the dark air bomb costing DE, when it changed to gold it made the healer useless.

Don't forget the wizard and balloon training times. :) They used to take 10 minutes to train.

Village edit mode,and remember the days when it was 50k for a big bomb, i remeber ruining many a players day by triggering them

I completely forgot about that! I remember the first time I bought a seeking air mine. I was so excited because getting dark elixir was hard. :D

This was an awesome idea for a thread! Thanks so much for making it. :) It's nice to look back on the old versions of the game...

I completely forgot about having to buy the traps from the shop again after they were triggered. I could never remember where they were supposed to go :o

Personally I loved the replay sharing addition. Anyone remember that button used to be green briefly ? When it was I tried donating to it too many times :o

Another nice little change for me was being able to flip through the barracks & spell factory with the arrows.

League Bonuses and leagues in general

Back when there was loot

Hero boost..makes pushing cheaper\easier

Spiked walls no longer affect the wb ai

Elixir wall upgrade. :D

Dark elixir: No dark elixir, no king/queen, no de troops.

Leagues: Good old days when you had your level next to your name

Village Edit: Took me hours to finish. And if i wasnt able to, then my open base is fair game.

Spell factory boosting (10 gem boosting not this temporary 1 gem). I don't remember how much it was exactly to boost spell factory last year but I guess that was around 20-30 plus gems.

When your army camp is destroyed and your troops died. Now we dont even protect that big a** army camp!

This and before that, selecting rows of walls- before that, you had to pick every single wall to dismantle your base :rolleyes: Good times :cool:

No hero abilities.

No heroes and DE troops.

That was way back when the game was released. I've just looked on the App Store for you, and the option to sell buildings was removed two years ago in the 2012 Halloween update on 27 October. :)

If your camps were destroyed the troops in them would die.

Heroes was unquestionably the biggest thing to have happened in the game. The excitement leading up to that update was huge.

I can't imagine the game without them nowadays.

It's not hard - just constantly upgrade them and you'll remember quickly what the game was like without them :rolleyes:

Wow that one was before my time!

Been playing for a year now and after reading this great thread. I know that i picked a good time to start the game. Seems like u OGs went through a lot at the beginning.

I miss that it actually made you use these wisely and now every base has them up...

Having to change your base layout to a war base before every battle day. And then change it back to normal

Big bombs costing 50k gold a piece, spells costing gold, when top players had lvl 9 and 10 archer towers and a few more things haha
