Another suggestion!... Neighborhood-only trading
It would be great to see the introduction of a private neighborhood-only shop for special trading.
Currently the little pink neighborhood building is redundant if you are settled in a neighborhood amongst friends.
I would like to see an extra tab there with neighborhood-only trading items...
A place to sell all the stuff that can't currently be sold at the regular public roadside shop!
Items for neighborhood-only trade could include:
* Fishing tackle (lures, nets, lobster pots)
* Vouchers
* Diamonds
* Farm décor
Lower level players could actually help out higher level players by running machines that would otherwise be sitting idle.... Like making more lobster pots and fishing nets (which they won't have enough open fishing grounds to use until later.
Note: This would also give higher players motivation to expand the lobster pool beyond 3 lobsters (max lobster pots produceable during lobster pool cycle time!).
In return, higher players could return the favor help with diamonds to help expand production slots and vouchers for special items and pets.
Having these as neighborhood-only trades will safeguard investments (especially where members are in different time zones!).
Example: It would great to come online and see an unfilled 3-hour old request in chat... Reply and place their needed item in the private neighborhood shop, and know that when they come back online in a few hours (say, while I'm fast asleep!) it will be there for them. Nobody else from the trustworthy neighborhood will have poached it.
Obviously "trustworthy" is a key word... But that comes with choosing your neighborhood carefully!
I'm feeling inspired by ideas... I guess I just really enjoy the game!
No criticism from me (well, apart from the post-nectar plant axe drop rate which was swiftly addressed, thank you SC! Oh, and the terribly tiny writing for iPhone users - especially announcements on the bulletin board! But I've contacted support on the subject and am awaiting a reply. All is good).
Thanks again for reading yet another of my ideas. I hope it interests the SC team enough to give it fair consideration and look forward to it possibly being a future upgrade :)

Peanut butter production.. Additional comments.

Very true. I admit I was just saying dairy because it's called 'butter', and that it doesn't really fit there.
But... I figured anything I said would only be a suggested example and that IF it were taken and run with by SC, then they'd add their own ideas and have final say on it's ultimate location... After all, they also have the big picture of what other things are in development that we don't know about, and it could be a perfect fit!
Adding items end to existing machines is dubious unless adjustment is made somewhere....
The dairy is obviously a bottleneck!
We either need another dairy, or at least he ability to double the production line on strategically key machines (dairy and sugar mill instantly jump to mind!).
The he jam maker would be a decent fit, but existing jams take so long, that's another machine already in continuous use! If a new item were added, I would like to see the times for existing items re-evaluated and reduced accordingly.
Keeping the game cruelty free
This is a game that is cruelty free and it would be nice to keep it that way. While it may not be realistic to show pigs in a sauna to get bacon from them this is after all a game. It isn't realistic to be able to move trees from one location to another at will but it makes the game fun and personalized. There are many products that could be added but it must be remembered that the game will become unwieldy when it gets too complex and will take up an enormous amount of time to play. I for one enjoy taking care of the animals, decorating the farm and helping everyone I can whether in my neighborhood or not. I will say if the game does not remain cruelty free, I for one will quit playing.
