Suggestions for 2015 - new crops, products, stores and major new concept.
New product ideas for 2015:
PEANUTS....
* Peanut Butter (dairy)
(BUT... the dairy is already overworked so we would really need the option to build another dairy first please!).
* PEANUT BUTTER could be used in the SANDWICH SHOP with bread and jam to make PBJs! (Peanut Butter and Jelly/Jam sandwiches).
New: SUNDAE SHOP...
to make ice cream Sundaes.
There could be many options but here are some examples:
* basic Raspberry Sundae uses Vanilla icecream and Raspberries
* Strawberry Sundae uses Strawberry icecream, Strawberries and peanuts for crushed topping.
* Chocolate chip Sundae uses chocolate icecream, chocolate and peanuts.
* Banana Split uses vanilla icecream, bananas, chocolate sauce, crushed peanuts.
I imagine these could be popular at the beach café!
PLUM TREE...
* Plum Jam (Jam maker)
* Plum pudding (cake oven)
* Plum pie (pie oven)
HONEY ICECREAM...
(I've had this in real-life and wow! I wish it was more readily available!).
GRAPES...
* Grape juice (juice press)
* Grape jam/jelly (Jam maker)
* Wine?
CHOCOLATE SAUCE in Sauce Maker to put on ice cream sundaes (I'm not high enough to own a sauce maker yet so not sure what it already makes).
BANANA TREE...
* Banana split (Sundae maker)
* Banana Loaf (bread bakery or cake oven?).
* Smoothie ingredient
ORANGE TREE...
* Orange juice (juice press)
* Orange Sorbet (ice cream parlor)
* Smoothie ingredient.
GOLD EARRINGS...
We really need something in the Jewelry shop that doesn't use Silver bars!!
Sell in the gift shop.
WOOLY MOCCASINS
(Wool is under-used in the game)
Requires Leather and wool.
Make with Sewing Machine.
Sell in Gift Shop.
New production building:
TANNERY
* Leather (needed for moccasins and belts)
* Belts (uses leather - sets new precedent with same place making both raw material and end product, but true-to-life for a tannery).
Leather would come from cow hides... which would need...
MAJOR GAME ALTERATION:
ANIMAL HARVEST idea...
When animal is "ready"; have a "Harvest Selection fan" to choose which product...
Examples:
COW: Milk, Beef, Hide (Hides only available at higher levels after all 15 purchased.
Cow to go? Buy replacements? Significantly lower cost for replacement cows!).
Sheep: Wool and lamb
Chickens: Eggs, chicken
Pigs: Bacon!
Whole new set of options with new meat products!
* Chicken pot pie
* Chicken and corn chowder (soup)
* Cottage pie (beef) vs Shepherd's pie (lamb)
* Beef stew
Etc.
That's all for now folks. I'm sure there is plenty to consider and debate!
On the concept of "killing off" animals...
I am sure the concept of "killing off" the animals is a hot topic at SC Central.
The game is quite educational and fun to play for all ages.
It is also quite realistic... Apart from the pigs providing bacon!
The "sauna" is cute, but....
OK. I know kids play, but kids are smart and (should) know where meat comes from!
I am confident the SC team can find a tasteful and fun way of collecting meat and hides, keeping the game realistic as to where these products come from, and expanding the game's horizons!
The sauna concept could even be used on all animals.
New animal products undamaged!

Yea as the fishes: they spin to give steaks then splash again and nobody is harmed :)
I miss chiken soup, ribs or meat, it would be great to have new food products.
By the way, LOVE all the suggestions made by FluffyRAM!!
Thanks
more uses for harvested skins
Another use for skins: paper, i.e.., vellum, parchment. Also rice paper from rice. Paper from wood pulp. Add a chipper or wood pulper machine for dead trees. Add a paper-making machine. Then add a bookmaker to make books from paper, Bind in leather. Sell books in gift shop. Create a bookstore to sell paper and books.
I forgot to include my "alternative" production building suggestions!
BLACKSMITH / FARRIER:
A blacksmith could also use the metal from the smelters.
By "alternative" I thought of different uses for the products than current gameplay, but hopefully not too complex for programming?
'Alternative' uses:
* Make iron railings or fencing to decorate property.
Items move to "stored" inventory rather than barn space? Debate saleable if "stored"?
* Make horse shoes which will drop special items when given to "pet" horses (and donkeys?) during down/feeding time. (Similar principle to the mystery net at the fishing lake).
* Manufacture bolts, screws and nails for barn and silo upgrades.
Similarly:
CARPENTER SHOP
Use wood from chopped trees.
(Existing trees or new "Slash Pine" crop)
'Alternative' uses...
* Manufacture planks and panels for upgrading barn and silo
* Make (different) birdhouses to decorate property.
* Make rustic {split rail} fencing to decorate property.
* Make carvings/ bowls etc to sell (gift shop).
MAINTENANCE SHED in town!
To store bricks, stone, paint, tar, hammers, drills... rather than have them take up precious barn space!
Similar to the tackle box at the lake, but still saleable at roadside shop.
[Side note... It would be nice if tackle could be saleable too! And maybe even vouchers?].
OK. I think that's my ideas dump over with for now. I don't think I forgot to include anything else... :)
Thanks for reading.
