Offensive attack radius

Wouldn't it be nice to know what the troop attack radius is for any specific offensive troop? I know we all can see what the defensive attack radius is for mortars, archers, etc, but it doesn't show that the attack radius is for offensive troops. I'd like to see that added in on the next update.

The attacking troops head to the nearest building.

That doesn't help, it's best for thee developers to add it to the description of the troop you are training. Just stating that it heads to the nearest building doesn't make sense as certain troops head to resources, not buildings. It would be better for them to say what they attack first, and what their attack radius is.

Troops don't have an attack radius.
Goblins head to the nearest resource building(collector/mine or storage)
Giants. Balloons, etc. head to the nearest defence.
Hounds head to the nearest AD

There are two ways attacking radius could be taken

1. How far ranged units can shoot (archer 3.5 tiles, wizard 3 tiles)

2. Where the unit will attack (closest building of the type they target) if the unit has to travel more then a set number of tiles (13? or something similar) it will go through a wall to get to a closer one.

For 2 you can't do a radius because it is not a straight line, for 1 its something you learn pretty quick, I would hate having a 100 archers all with a ring around them to show me that they can shoot over a wall and past 1 gap to hit a building.

They already did. Look at the stats of each troop. If they have a favorite target, they ignore everything else unless all their favorite target is gone. No favorite target means they go for the nearest building.

I think Supercell did that...... Each troop has a favor target is listed... for example, giants and hogs go for the closest defenses...

No, i'm not looking for a ring around each troop, just something in the description when you're training that says, their target is defense at x tiles distance. that's all, so that i know where to place my troops.
the defensive ones already have a ring around them, so i don't need anything for that. thanks.

I don't see how this would be useful. Certain troops already have a favorite target (in the troop description), the rest go to the nearest building.
For attacking, troops attack from the same distance every time. Using them once or twice and you'll see where they attack from. Ranged troops like archer and wizard are used so much, one should know how far they attack from.

So, attack range not attack radius. You can find it on the wiki. Barbs are like .5, others are 1, ranged are like 2.5 wiz, 3.5 for archers, 4 witch and 5 for AQ. KISS.
