But that isn't the quesiton, or the point. The question was what % of revenue comes from the whales you describe above, and what % comes from the casual player throwing down $5 here and there.
I never stated that their profits are mainly from top players. I said they make a killing off of them. Do you really need exact numbers or percentages to know that they make a good profit off of high level players? You can't put two and two together with some common sense?
And what is it with you and your weird random arguing subjects? You're like that guy who asks SC for your countries flags while the game is falling apart. What is your motive here? You really just like to argue, don't you?
I like your point of view.. didn't looked at it that way... true that it took a long time for every aspect that have been requested that when the "solution" to old problem came out... it wasn't the hot topic anymore...
But my point is... i'm pretty sure they will come up with other solutions to our now hot-concern... but it will just take a while and maybe that at that time... it won't be a problem anymore since we will have adapted again...
I like to discuss things. Personally I find it pretty interesting to think about the break down between revenues from different groups of players. It might give us some insight as to why SC does certain things. "Arguing" doesn't have to be a bad thing. Maybe we can all learn something.
No question they make a killing off high level gem players. The point you objected to was whether they make more money from the casual players or those high level gem players.
Comparing the spending patterns of a few thousand (if there are that many) champ players with the unknown spending activity of millions of more casual players is likely to mean common sense isn't a reasonable measure to use.
Actually you implied that the poster who stated most income came from casuals was wrong. Something about "there goes your whole arguement".
Anyhow yes I would like a link because common sense seem to be lacking.
This is my common sense, less than 1% of all players are champs (I think it might even be .1% but Im sure someone can correct me). How do these players make up the vast majority of SCs profit? We also need to consider that not all champs are gemmers and a lot are just farmers, reducung the amount of people SC get 'a killing from' even further.
My common sense says that the vast majority of profit comes from casuals dropping a few gems to boost, not from the guys who gem a full max TH10, this is inline with what the other poster said. You however categorically stated he was wrong. If you could back that up with a link that would be great, otherwise it just sounds like hot air to me.
I agree that SC listens and tries to genuinely improve the game. Hero nerf, hog nerf, her regen buff, lix for walls, valk buffs, clan wars, improved war and league bonuses to name a few. The problem is that sometimes there are unforeseen consequences. Some of the complaints are over the top but many are also justified. Personally I like the new improved hero ability with reduced regen time but then my heroes are still BK 10 and AQ 9. If I'd had level 40 heroes I'm sure I would have been raging too. After a lot of venting there was a constructive thread with suggestions from the community on how to fix it, one of which was improved regen time. Clan wars was a great addition but also a huge lix sink. There really was no need for lix for walls and it did seriously mess up the economy. What followed was huge complaints about loot, which were dumped into the trash can thread. Quite rightly since they weren't constructive but that also gave the impression no one was listening. Finally there was a constructive loot thread and we did get a response from SC, and some action. The moral of this story is that venting gets you nothing but constructive, thoughtful suggestions are listened to.
The lix point is an interesting one. I'm pretty sure there were loads of comments after CW was introduced about players sitting on max lix. But I also think its true that this is not a fair reflection of the game. If you are sat at TH9, barching TH8's to complete your legos/lavas then yes you probably were sat on max lix - I think there are a lot of these guys on the forum who made lots of noise.
Personally, on getting to TH10, which was just before CW was introduced, I found lix a struggle. The camps/lab upgrades are expensive, those plum TH8 bases you live off at TH9 are no longer as fruitful. You have to raid storages, which costs and every base you can realistically raid has loot spread across four storages. You are the one with max troops, so you are the one filling the war ccs. etc.
I'm now loon farming DE in C1 and finding the lix to support raiding, even with the increased bonus is proving really tough. Lix is now far more of an issue for me than gold.

I found this link from forbes... this was when the game wasnt even on for Android... am pretty sure this has increased a lot and is not all from the champion league players... Also not all champs gem crazy only a percentage(dont know small or large) spend a lot
