The top contributor has given 20000 pumpkin pies as at the date of this thread.
20000 pies / 3 days = 6666 pies a day = 277.77 pies per hour

Preparation (can spend the weeks before making and buying all pumpkin pies in newspaper and fill your barn with them - barn can potentially hold thousands) -- a good guess at the event...
Friends who do the above to help you get first place.

and yes I have been storing pumpkin pies up for months.
I have the barn space because my wheat bots collect LOTS of items to expand my barn.
Sure it takes a few hours to collect and refill my production queues every day. But I only have to do this every 18 hrs or so. I have to collect and sell my expansion items anyway.
No time to go to a job.
But it's okay--I'm a millionaire.

There are no extra rewards beyond contributing the 84 pies, or whatever it is.
Yes, what apoorv1986 said was right. The top contributor have a group in Facebook where she requests pumpkin pies and even her NH encourage her and provide her with pumpkin pies so that she becomes in the top 3 and her NH "shines" :)
Just the glory of being the top contributor, probably. I suspect many of these are Facebook groups where many farmers work together for the event.Quote:

How many people bother to check who's the top contributor anyway? I only looked at the Global Goal stats because the Halloween Prizes thread mentioned the Demon Pig statue would be given to all contributors once the Global Goal is reached.
