3 stars in war against a MAXED TH9!!! probably one of my most impressive attacks ever

by the way, some things you should notice in the attack:

-the way of taking care of the outer ring before the loonz in the center finish the defences there (othewise the loonz in the center will come out, and won't attack the th itself)
-the way of taking care of the CC troops and meanwhile getting rid of some defences (didn't work as plan).
-the way of making sure that the queen doesn't kill my loonz (dropping the king and queen next to her).
-the use of rage spells.
-the use of the heal spell where needed the most.

Loon army with no minions, kind of a rookie mistake .... what if a dragon, a some what popular CW cc unit, popped out of the clan castle? Your whole raid would have been ruined. You got lucky ....

we checked after some attacks that they hold archers and wiz in the CC (and the higher bases also hold a witch). plus i had 20 archers, and also a queen just in case..

That's cool. But really should be disclosed so some kid doesn't try to cook a 40 loon army for war with no intel from previous attack(s) ... lol

hehe learning from prev attacks is always important in wars ;)

Honestly it was a strange base design. That was an anti-hog/balloon ring but you took it out with balloons so it was a bad design. But not everyone can three star a town hall 9 with maxed out defenses. Good raid man.

Looks like regular Looninan to me....not even Loonian as he had no mins (used arch) and even used a light spell.

So I have no idea what you're talking about unless that base was hit identically the same way by someone else.

Oh well, That's a maxed DEF TH9 and not a maxed out TH9.

Besides that, ADs were wide open, CC lure out is first rule in attacking. I don't see anything special in this attack since any player with L6 loons 3star this base.

That's not an impressive attack, It's a fine attack and no more than that.

you exploited a flawed but defensively high level base, thinking through the attack with several steps and a strategy, well done, there are more impressive attacks out there but I guarantee no-one else could get more stars on that base than you did :) , many would fail on it too, cheers

i used gowiwi maybe like twice...can't givem you much feedback, but join our clan at #J22RP8L. we're looking for strong attackers so we can improve.

It shows only few tips from that video. A video can't explain different valuation of the base. If there are more explanation, it would be better.

Not a max base lol. Plus the design wasnt too great
Also, most TH9-10 skilled with max loons and minions can 3 star this base. Or even mass drag.
Only using loons and not minions is a mistake though. Hero deployment was kind of a waste imo.
Xbows werent pointed up and air defenses were outside.
Pretty easy 3 star

The DEFENSES were maxxed. But the base itself was not, a few trash buildings, heroes, and walls were far from being maxxed. I think this thread got picked apart more than it should, but no, it's just not a maxxed base.

and how would maxed walls or king, or anything else effect this kind of attack? only thing i can think of having any effect is the queen...

the base is maxed def. all air def was maxed but this base is very easily looned. besides 2 ad's in the core there is 0 air def. the xbows are pointed down and the base is way to spread apart to defend against well lvled air troops. this base is more anti hog/anti giant than anything else . but anti air not by a long shot. nice attack but most impressive i personally have seen better.

I didn't say it did. I just said it wasn't maxxed.

The base itself is a very poor design which can be easily three-starred with many different attacks. You did a good job on finding an attack that exploited the terrible defense placement and getting the three.

i searched on youtube and found just one video of someone 3 star a th9 with maxed defenses. the difference is that he had level 15 heroes (while mine are lvl 6-7)..

That was only possible cus of the terrible layout

almost any 3 star you get is because the layout was terrible regarding the attack you used...

well, as long as buildings (esp. wt & ad) are spread out it's pretty easy to 3* th9s with air troops.
normally you can't come up with such a mass of loons cause wts crush em easily in large groups,
so still not that bad :p

/agree.... i have been looning for almost 6 months straight till my th10 finished (needed to save elixir faster) so i would llke to see a pro like yourself show me how its done.

p.s. i have destroyed many max th9 bases but would love a lesson, as i only loon in wars now i maybe alittle rusty...

yeah his base is poorly set up to deffend air attacks. air d is way exposed and not concentrated at all.

but grats. you can also 3 star them with gowipe if you'r heros are lvl'd up.

Not a rookie mistake. You can easily get rid of big troops with archers as well. I always take a few in case a dragon or something comes out

if i'm not wrong i had intel about the CC troops...but even if not, you're right :)

before my minions were lvl 5 i would loon in war with 40 archers(used them to pull cc and then kill them) carried 15 minions in cc and used cc, heros, remaining archers to clean up after loons took care of the def. actually worked quiet well. now i am doing 26 loons 50 minions. as my other2 camps finish i will use 28 loons

yep, th10 brings you more options that's for sure. i usually skip when xbows are on air and there are infernos...

infernos yea, when they are set to single you can still crush a base. xbows you get used to and unless they are lvl 3 they arent that bad.

Thats pretty much every base, its such a dumb attack tactic. My whole clan does it and I feel cheap doing it too (plus theres no gain from elixer)
