whats wrong with Adult/Mature only clans??

This game is international, and not limited solely to the US, making US founding documents irrelevant in this situation.

Were we to take this route, your parent/legal guardian (Should you live in the US) can make decisions for you, and your legal rights are forfeited to them until you become a legal adult (18).

Going into the game, people can chose to set restrictions or not when making a clan. Just as trophies are a restriction/requirement, age and maturity may be requirements as well. As a general rule, children are less mature than adults, which is why most clans allow maturity to prevail over age, and set maturity requirements instead of age requirements.

There is nothing wrong with age and/or maturity requirements- and let's face it. A clan that requires you to be an adult probably isn't having discussions that are relevant, interesting, or even appropriate for children.

So I can ground my parents? SWEET!

I'm fine with 18+ clans or 21+ or whatever. Can't blame them.

I disagree with aspects of this statement. Age is category by which should not be discriminated by, whether this being applying for a job, joining a club or in the attitude you hold to someone. That being said, I don't think adult clans are discriminatory, they are largely put in place so that adults can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere without the confines to conversation that comes with having a child present. This is as much a protection for children as a benefit for adults who want to properly enjoy the social aspect of the game.

I think the absence of the swear filter from clan chat that we see in global as a good indicator that even supercell don't see that all chat in-game should be limited to child-friendly stuff.


To the OP, people just want to chat with people of similar interests and a common ground of attitudes or knowledge. Why take this away from people?

Meh... that's not even the way it is here in america. Either it's a joke thread... or it's someone who has become confused... the "rights" that they are talking about generally involve interactions involving the government. For example... free speech guarantees me the right to protest/demonstrate against a law I believe is unethical or unfair. The right to free speech, does NOT mean that one individual can't tell another individual that they are a doofus and should stop talking.

I don't see the point of this poll in the first place. There are several reasons why there should be adult only clans.
1. The chat could be "dirty" and deemed inappropriate for children
2. Children can be very annoying; always requesting expensive troops or getting on people's nerves
3. Adults should have "equal rights" to not have children in your clan.
4. Children do not always understand that clan wars are a time for good attacks
This is not discrimination against kids, as adults can act this way too, but it does happen alot with children under the age of 10...they just haven't matured enough yet to know when they are being annoying or when to stop.

First american law has no power overseas in this case.

Secondly nobody likes being in a clan with people who act like children, they're a complete waste of time.

And third you can get into adult clans even if you're not an adult, if you act like an adult and you follow all the rules without being annoying then you should get in.

Any clan that still wont keep you is full of idiots and isn't worth your time.

So what's the problem?
