The best way to level up in clash is donations and finishing building structures (up to a certain point). Once you reach th10, donating is by far the best way to level up. There are a couple ways you can donate a lot. The first being just stay online and fill your clanmates requests (duh wompy). The second being to join a req n leave clan. These have popped up everywhere and if you focus on donations as well as normal gameplay, you can achieve 10k donations a season easily. The third way (and most efficient if you can stand it) is to be clanless. When clanless, the game gives you a list of clans that you could join and most are 'anyone can join'. Train up giants in your barracks and just hop clans filling requests with giants. Giants give the most xp per minute of any troop and will level you up the fastest.
Use any of these strategies and you will be leveling up in no time!
Go to bronze league and destroy 25555 town halls in two weeks. :rolleyes:

If you end up donating too fast, use your AQ to solo the 4th goblin mission repeatedlyfor its 2 exp TH while waiting for troops to train.
This is the most efficient method.
