Leader goes to the Co-leader with most trophies if he leaves the clan without promoting anyone else.

this^. I've watched it happen many times. if the leader doesn't promote someone to leader it goes to Co with highest trophies, if there are none then elder with highest trophies and down the line. CoC wiki also confirms this I believe if personal experience of many is not official.

Please try and keep this on topic guys, I'm trying to find out if we can attain leader off our banned leader; Not who leadership goes to if a leader actually leaves. Thank you.

That was answered quite quick. it doesn't, however I assume if the player had a permanant ban he wouldnt be in the clan any longer. Unless after the period of inactivity he is deleted (which I heard seldom happens) your stuck. Unless you want to uproot everyone an re-create

Yeah you got the answer, it won't pass over to anyone because SC doesn't remove accounts even after the 180 day period. I've heard that SC helped passing over leader in a clan where the leader died but can't really confirm that, you can always try by sending it to support but I doubt they'll do it for a banned account, might happen:).

Seems a lot easier to jsut start a new clan eventhough I guess that the loss of CW wins will hurt.

Certainly an option, but I was hoping there would be a simpler solution where we could keep our 64 war wins in tact.

For some reason I had thought id seen some patch notes a few updates ago concerning such issues with a leader, alas I must be crossing wires with something else I read.

The Wiki is wrong. I've watched it go to the same guy many times, and he was the lowest co in trophies. But it always went to him because he was the longest-standing co in the clan.

Thanks for the answer beerking. Ill get in touch with support if our leader isn't back within 48hours (which seems to be the standard ban period for minor offences).

If a leader exits a clan (OP your inactive/banned leader wont be removed, sorry) the highest ranking member (member/elder/co lead) that has been in the clan longest is supposed to gain leadership. That means if you've been a member for 2 years and hop out to donate troops to a friends clan, you'll be considered a new member in this case.

If the the leader leaves the clan leadership goes to the CO leader who has been in the clan the longest.
