Clash of Clans A Question To You All

Firstly, I'd like to introduce myself. My names Calzs34, you may or may not have ever seen me before, but nevertheless I have a question in which I would like to express to all of you players. Also I will share a small experince of my own playing of this truely tremondous yet time wasting game!

Questions:1). How much time do you spend playing clash of clans a week?
Now firstly before you say oh probably a couple of hours a week, think about it and then tell me truely.

1a).Now instead of making this question 2, I believe this should be question 1a.The question:How much time do you spend playing clash of clans INSTEAD of being social,at work or doing anything productive with your life?Now consider your answer to 1 and a as I did a few months back.

Consider this. Say clash was gone- poof. Vanished, what would/COULD you be doing extra with your time. Maybe wash the dishes, you know something productive with your life. I'm not saying clash isn't productive, just it's less productive than helping out in the house (i'm sure we agree?)

After spending what I believe to be almost over 70hours in a single week on this cute, yet addictive little game I realized. Why on earth am I boosting? Wasting hours of my life...

Putting this into perspective for those who like things like this:
Average salary per hour in UK is £13 (approx)

Average boost in 2 hours is 3million gold+exilir, netting you two lavas. Gems would be about 40. Costing you 24p roughly rounded.

Now if you had worked in those two hours you would have gained a total of £26, with tax 20%. That equates to £20.80Now you can buy 2 walls for 2 bags of gems and 1 pile of gems. (2900 gems) and still have 100 gems left over, 2million gold/exilir oh and a extra £3.83. Rather than you being penalised 24p.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? Do we play clash too much? Comment below... Oh and please don't sub this is NOT youtube.

Just something you farmers may want to think about.....
Oh and say we forgot clash entirely you'd have £20 in your pocket instead of 2 virtual walls for 2 hours work. Something for you to consider, enjoy clash. And as always farm hard! From a EX farmer (1b GG).just note: I'm not saying clash is bad to play, just think about the alternatives. #peacetotheout.

its been like this for a long time and it wont be changing anytime soon.

I feel like this is more of an attack but oh well, i accomplish a lot with my wasteful life haha. I play maybe 40+ hours a week and if CoC was gone id be playing more expensive console games so this saves me money and keeps me occupied. At least i can talk a walk through the park instead of being forced to be infront of a tv as i play my games.

Most players use a whole day playing clash of clans

I remember a thread about 7 months back that was asking the same question as well as "What things in your real life have you skipped out on due to playing CoC?" ... From a sociological point of view the thread was very disturbing.

Just look on forums and many people are constantly bragging how they play 12-16 hours per day or getting booted off once or twice for too long of sessions. If you are playing competitively in high Champs then you are on for 6-12 hours a day guarantee, most likely more. Then there is this morbid fascination with people who have 2 billion gold grab and farmed zap walls or L40 heroes. Shocking to think about time spent.

The game is addictive, and from a business standpoint that equates into CHA-CHING$$$$$$. From a sociological standpoint it can be depressing, but so be it, it is their lives not ours.

For me personally... Between forums and CoC (and Boom Beach) I easily spend 3 hours a day which I think is bad enough but I'm ok with it and it doesn't effect my personal life. I'm self employed and not a people person anyways so this is a nice little filler in my life. I have played CoC for 23 months now and have always been in a clan revolving around a lifestyle choice as well so this has put me in touch with similar minded folks which is amazing. I'm met some great people who I now call friends because of it. Now that winter is around the corner and my business slows down considerably, I may even play more. Going outside is not all that fun in a Canadian winter and I can only read so many books or watch so much netflix.

Long story short. My plants get watered, my bills get paid, my wife and I are incredibly happy so I'm not too worried about taking enjoyment from the game/s.

Should I be less judgmental on those who let a mobile app rule their lives? Probably... but I won't as I find it incredibly sad.

I totally agree, too be honest I think this game sucks people into. People fantasying about the best troops, best heroes etc. They never really consider what they'll do when they complete this ever so pointless mission. All i'm trying to do here is raise awareness. You have a life, your free to do what you like. But is playing a mobile game for 6hrs+ a day a good thing?

Is sitting less than a foot from a computer monitor in a cramp cubicle for 8+hours a day a good thing? Well i guess the first does provide the money haha but the entertainment is entertainment none the less. Thanks for bringing awareness to the mundane life some of us seem to like escaping from. If you work in a cramped cubicle your something of the past, they were the 90s man. Maybe late 90s, but still atleast 15 years ago. Offices are different and who said you have to work in a office?
