Barching for loot will never die...
Barching for for trophies and in champs for wins is MUCH harder. Previously, barch would squeak out wins for the most part, now barch is at best a 50% chance of winning/losing proposition with 1-2 spells, 80% win with full spell, but full spells kinda defeats the purpose of the faster more reasonable army.
barching against the big boys for cups you can say is near dead. Not quite, but close...
Personaly doubt barch will ever truly die....... After all the squealing and wailing over the 4th mortar, everyone just got on with it.... I suspect this update will be much the same .... some will adapt and carry on, others will change stratagies, and army comps.....
Myself, I tried BARCHing a few times, after the update, just to see if it made as much difference as people made out ---- I think it was slightly harder, but that might be down to my rusty barch skills (I usually BAM for cheap fast Loot).
Just to check, I did a BAM session, and Noticed very little difference....... and I should imagine BAM would be just as nerefed as BARCH, by the AT update..... and there are very few posts from BAM aficinados crying about "nerfs"......:rolleyes:
Still BAMing in M3 with the same composition. Have noticed a slight difference but pretty insignificant imho.

BAM, though, I bet is not affected as much by the update since the minions don't take mortar fire. I've never used BAM before as I like to horde DE for upgrades, but there should be a lot more DE available with the extra drills in the christmas update. I think BAM might start to be a really useful army for looting.
