Challenge your friends to battle!
Global chat always seems to be filled with people talking about how great they are and most players seem to know players in other clans. It would be great if you could challenge other players to battle or other clans to a war. To avoid abuse you could make it entirely voluntary, if you challenge someone it comes across as a mail message with an accept or decline button and obviously you can only challenge a comparable level\rank\size village or clan.
War challenges can only be made or accepted by someone who can start a war search and only when neither clan is currently in a war. To avoid abuse it can be limited to clans who aren't currently on your war record so you can't challenge the same clan more than once in a short period.
Accepting an individual challenge could simply add it to the top of both villages revenge lists and once again can be limited to villages who are not already on your revenge list so challenges aren't abused. To make things even more interesting it would be great if you can also challenge members of your own clan.
I've seen similar ideas raised on global chat several times and they've always had overwhelming and unanimous support.

It's in the Ruled out sticky, under the portion that talks about ideas commonly suggested on the forums that are being "ranked or reviewed" although it does not suggest they are being worked on, supercell is aware of the requested feature.
There are a lot of issues with this. Friends could easily use it to model their base after possible war targets. If they fix it so that you can't use it in war then it still gives the attacker an unfair advantage in regards to revenge attacks.
