It was a revenge.
It's because you attacked someone and kept on advancing to higher trophy counts. The someone stayed in the same count and when he saw that you had loot/trophies, he went all out and got the trophies

When you revenge, you either win a lot of trophies or win a small amount. I once lost around 50 because someone revenged me.
It was a revenge attack and you were many trophies above the attacker. If you didn't know about revenge whales, you are probably new to the game and shouldn't be trophy pushing anyway, and then it wouldn't even matter to you. :)
It has been a revenge if you are below 3600 trophies.. above that matchmaking is crazy a lot of +1s and a few really big offers up to +59 in normal matchmaking..
