What are some other devastating Th8 attack strats other than GIWIPE, GOWIPE and 11 Drags for clan wars? I would love an alternate solution that conserves both elixs and dark elixs, as I am about 70% through raising enough funds for lv10 King. My pekkas are lv2 in 1/2 week, my wizards are maxed, and I have lv1 golems and maxed giants and drags (for TH8).
Loonion and HoLo are also possible at th8 but you really gotta find the right base for those to work.
so here is the thing I was wondering about lv5 balloons: Are they rly trashy as claimed by some people or are they just slightly inferior than those pirate lv6 balloons? also what is holo? just hogs and balloons?
ive used loons since I got them up to lvl4 with success. I think people just think they are garbage because the jump between lvl5 and lvl6 is so big, but they are still viable is used right at lower levels. and yes HoLo uses hogs and loons with a few other troops. Hulk teaches it best on youtube and has a HoLo thread here somewhere...

at C3 I could make 10k de easy in a day but when I was pushing for lvl2 golems and focusing solely on DE I was getting 20k per day. I believe the cap is 2k and hits at 30k so id lose that much basically every time I went offline.
I'm an early TH8 in C3 right now, and I'm losing anywhere from 1-3k per week (ON AVERAGE) on defense, it really does depend on luck and who attacks you tho, I've lost from 0-10k in a given week alone, so it varies quite a bit. And as for DE gained, you get 100 just for a TH snipe, so plenty :rolleyes:. There's also plenty of full drills and easy storages to pick, takes some search time tho.Quote:

Level 4 hogs in clan war do great - when I was still TH8 I'd run:
- 27 hogs
- 5 max hogs in CC
- 2 giants to lure cc
- 15 barbs/archers, 10 wiz for cleaning up cc and buildings after
- 3 heal spells
If you watch for DGB and trip them with one or two hogs, I've never seen a TH8 hold up to that attack when done correctly. Most of the time your mirror matchup will be a TH8.
Cheaper DE than 3 golem, cheaper elixer than dragons or pekka.
