TH8 4-Mortar Farming Base - Splash Waterpark

This is my TH8 4Mortar Farming base. I called it the splash waterpark because, well... splash damage will handle your business. 2 mortars protect each compartment of storages, they are also fairly hard to reach. These will handle BARCH with ease. Also, the wizard tower will protect anything that comes in front of it. Also within range of 2 mortars. Centralized air defense will make air raids harder, and CC will not be dragged out easily. Teslas are also covering your loot, and with the fastest attack speed, they mow through anything that comes near the wall. There is also a staggered wall in front of loot that is loaded with traps, make it harder for troops and wall breakers to enter. This will cluster troops in to 2 spots and 2 spots only, in which the wizard tower will then take care of things. Also, the new skeleton traps are placed to make your loot even safer, as if it wasn't already.

Since I made this base, I've had 2.8m gold and 2.4m elixr saved while I was deciding what to upgrade. I have broken my shield 6 times since, and no one has had the gut to attack my full-on, so I don't know the results yet. However, I did get attacked by 120 lvl 5 barbs and 60 lvl 5 archers. They didn't even make it past the outskirts of my base.

strong looking base, but it seems to me it is way to familiar with The Tempest.

Looks decent but I would move the DE storage lower as there aren't any storages on the bottom. Also spring traps can be improved

thanks for the post, but i have to disagree. just researched The Tempest. it's a trophy/war base and doesn't have the same concept as mine at all. same shape, maybe, but my walls and compartments are a lot different.

Just made this base- Please post a pic of it- I am in a Russian Clan (i am not Russian, my friend is). It is called Chelyabinsk. Please post a picture of my base- Snipe3111. The shield is green and white.

It's nice, only thing I don't like is the big bomb just above the TH. Doesn't really serve any purpose. It'll just get tripped every time someone snipes you, costing you extra gold to re-arm, which seems counter-productive for a farming base.

i can see where you're coming from, but at the same time, it does help. if you have loot, people will usually take the TH and then go for storages.. I've only had this base for 2 days and that big bomb in front of TH has taken out many troops. only put it there in the first place until i find another spot for it, but it does work well.

Don't do this in a base design thread that isn't yours! You might create your own thread in the "How is my base?" Section

On topic: Base looks nice although I would still wait for some defence logs to see how it handles stronger attacks. I would consider your trap placement as they're more concentrated on the north, therefore making the south weak

Thanks for the post, do you have any suggestions on where traps may be placed better on the south part of base? i focused more at the points of interest (loot). thats why the south is empty, i can't see anyone really attacking from that point especially with such a far spawn point because of TH and army camps.

Just wait some more for stronger attacks. If you really get only attacked from the north, than I would keep probably the traps where they are (maybe with some rearranging) .

Just right now you have to consider the following:
From just the looks of it, it's fairly obvious where the spring traps are located. The spring traps next to the cannon might be set up with 1 giant by a smart attacker. Also the placement for the springtrap next to the archer tower seems to be set there against wallbreakers, not that useful against giants.
As for the south:
It just seems to me, that attacking from the south west/east (where the cannon+mortar is) might be the weak spot of the base as one could get in the core then fairly easy, considering that there are also no traps there. You may remove one wall between the cannon and the archer next to it and place a spring trap there to move the giants away from the core
