TH8 new 4th mortar hybrid base, a 5267 original (war version/farming version also)

Early TH8,most defenses are still TH7.It holds up really good against hogs/giants.All these defense logs are when i was in crystal 3 and big boys(th9/th10)kept visiting my village.AQ is a big threat for this base if ur point defenses are lower level.
i had over 3 million gold/ 4 million elixir and 30k DE when these attacks happened.

I had to make few changes to make barching a bit difficult.archers and barbs seem to take out AT and cannons quickly so i had to move mortars from core for better range.still upgrading my 4th mortar.

in all honesty your defenses are quite low for a TH8 lol if you compare my maxed defenses vs your defenses I output a total of 132 splash damage per second vs your 102 and a total of 975 point defense damage per second vs your 615 point defense damage per second, so our log will look quite a bit different (considering you have maxed TH7 defenses) there's a HUGE difference, I remember untill I was relatively maxed TH8 I was getting 3 starred by the Th9s with those lv6 giants everyday, here's my log, a note, MY TOWN HALL WAS OUTSIDE THE WHOLE TIME EXCEPT FOR THOSE TWO 20% RAID FAILS WITH GOBS AND BARCH, I WAS OFFERING AROUND 1.2k DE ON DEFENSE THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH, SKIPPED AS MANY SNIPES AS I COULD WHILE GETTING ALL THE RAIDS IN :) SEEMS THE BASE LIKES HOGS LOL!http://s28.postimg.org/esr75afn1/Untitled4.jpghttp://s12.postimg.org/5fekq1tpp/Untitled5.jpghttp://s7.postimg.org/jowy5jg2j/Untitled6.jpg

I have no idea tbh why I always get attacked by such exessive armies, my Th was outside, yet hit by drags and hogs and maxed loons around gold 3 lol, but as a base designer and a farmer I can say for sure, no base can save you from a good attacker, no matter how good it looks or how well the traps are placed, a good attacker with decent troops will break it, but anyway, I modified a base I saw a while back to incoporate the 4th mortar, it's not 100% original, more like 20% original? lol :p but thought I'd share it, I am using it at the moment, finally got my 4th mortar up, BTW on all those defenses my 4th mortar was upgrading, no exception, it's been on upgrade since I bought it and it's finally maxed, here's the new layout, the CC, DE and TH are interchangeable so you can put your most important one right in the core (I also edited the trap placement based on what I think will work against standard troop AI so moving them around with out eexperimentingwith defense replays at hand will probably be worse for your defense :rolleyes:)http://s3.postimg.org/muwr4zfkz/new.jpghttp://s28.postimg.org/yeg6ecnjh/new2.jpg

Maybe they're using your base for practice.

Thanks for bringing up your base for trying out 4th mortar.

I've been tracking you online to see if there was any adaptions to your base, but it seems that you have left
your clan, so not possible to find you at the moment. (Yes, a little stalker-ish, but it was also good to see what army
composition you were using during your trophy pushes too).

I'm a TH8 for reference, which is defense wise maxed except for (walls, 2 AT upgrading to 10, and 2 AT yet to upgrade, bombs).

4th mortar is now maxed

Currently, using trapception, keeping the 4th mortar in one of the spare outer compartments, but that isn't the most effective location. (It had only just finished to level 6 yesterday). Haven't had any real attacks on me for a long time, due to having low resources.

I was looking forward to trying out your base, but it seems you have already swapped it out. Did you find that your base which you used to push to masters wasn't good enough after all for the stronger attacks ? Was it not protecting the DE well enough ?

mmm yeah I used a southern teaser style base base from the youtube channel Sexton gaming hoping to win a defense but it's impossible up there, so I switched to a TH outside layout, currently in Extreme Eight clan, will be there for a long time, also, I got hammered for 80% (maxed giants/wiz/barb/arch/gobs killed it)with the new layout and another easy 50% loss with much weaker armies than usual, so my old layout is definitely better (it got better results with only 3 mortars) the new base barely holds up even without them using 2 or 3 spells, for pushing I use 3 armies, from gold 1 to crystal 2 I used wizards and barbs (120 barbs 20 wiz) usually can 2 star bases up until maxed TH9s, after that from c2 until 2500 range I used hogs, a similar set up to whitelightning WHD, then I dropped a bit when hogs couldn't take on the infernos and I used loonion to maintain cups around 2.5k for a few days and finally hit master (with a snipe lol) but balloonion is my favorite pushing army for sure here's defense with that new layout, Those are the only 3 new defenses, more than enough to convince me the old base was a lot better lol, I feel my defense log was quite good in the past despite the many losses, saw a maxed out guy in the clan get 3 starred by maxed giants (no spells used) and he had a decent layout toohttp://s28.postimg.org/k475x9fod/new_def.jpghttp://s24.postimg.org/ugdf700jp/new_def2.jpg

Hi there.

I've used your base for my current war because my old war base has constantly been getting totally wrecked and I was curious how it'll work out.

Attacker zapped out the AD at 12 oclock, and attacked from the left side spreading out his 8 dragons. He released his bk to tank and his 8 hogs to take out the AD at the right side, therefore ensuring his 3 stars.

Even thought it hasn't worked out for me, I'll give it a few more tries and see how it'll work out. :D
