No. They did not put any thought into it at all, which is why this entire game is pointless, goalless, and a time-waster.

Clearly Yes they work hard everyday trying to give us new stuff. however I strongly disagree with the small loot bonuses haven't really heard anything good about it. but we know supercell will keep updating and hopefully make it better. just like the heros when it first came out every hero took 4 hours to heal now there reduced I feel like it will improve!
