Lightning spell issues!

I'm sure this has been brought up before, as I know I'm not the only person who finds this incredibly annoying.
Dark Elixir is slow to store, and easy to steal (as it is all held in one storage as opposed to being spread out over 3-4. I am a nearly maxed TH8 (with a very solid base design) that centers protection around my dark elixir. However despite my best efforts, I can never store more than 30-35k DE, as it keeps being stolen from lower level players using lightning spells to steal the better part of 1k DE on each attack (on average they steal anywhere from 500-800 DE). I personally find this to be INCREDIBLY frustrating, as I can't revenge these players and take it back because they are all lower level than I am, and aren't worth the revenge. This creates a vicious circle of me breaking my shield to go and find more DE, followed by it being stolen again 30 mins after I leave the game.
Resolution? DISABLE THE LIGHTNING SPELL FROM BEING ABLE TO STEAL RESOURCES. IT IS INCREDIBLY ANNOYING AND CHEAP. It requires no tactics or skill, only time. It's also only gotten worse since the gem boost for the spell factory. Please Please Please SC stop allowing the lightning spell to take resources. Increase it's damage or radius, I don't care but if you could stop it from stealing my dark elixir every few hours that would be great.

I think that it would make sense too nerf the lightning spell when it attacks DE storages but not all resources.

I'm pretty sure this is never gonna happen because it isn't easy for a th7 to do an all out attack on a th9 for the dark he needs to get his/upgrade his bk.

In my first post i brought up a new idea for a trap, a lightning rod. This would also be helpfull for us to stop these annoying lightnings.

I'm feeling in the same situation. Why not the teslas have this double function? On one hand a defense, on the other hand a lightning rod.

may be it's a big advantage, so may be with a determinate number of ligtnings the teslas overcharges and stops working. This would depend on the level of lightning spell and the teslas. So just a player with a similar or higher level will have a chance of steal a considerable amount of dark elixir and then revenge makes sense.

moreover, new strategies come up, such as to use lightning spells to detect and disarm teslas.

I hope the staff will consider it

Alls you do on this forum is disagree without any reason, yes I don't like the idea i think it's stupid and only people who complain will benefit from this but seriously ♥♥♥♥ for once.

You are right. It is suggested several times every day and it is very easy to search for the explanations. SC even chimes in once in a while on a thread to state that they have no intention of changing it. Zapping exists because it is an economic requirement for the current economic structure, and to be irritating. It is supposed to make you mad so you climb trophies to get away from the TH7's. The fact that it bothers so many people means it is working.

Well, would you like it if a th 10 Did an all-out raid and stole all your resourses? The lightning spell is supposed to do damage to a building, so if damage is done to storage or mine, resourses will be stolen. So thing will not happen.
