I'm not Ash, but here's my 2 cents from the point of view of a fellow TH9:

Two options, as I see it:
Option 1:
Just go ahead to TH10. You get DE at a much higher clip at TH10, and your walls and defenses are high enough that if you add infernos to the mix, you'll be able to survive at M3 or M2 no problem - then you can barch for the loot bonus and be fine.
Option 2:
If you don't feel comfortable hitting the upgrade button yet, I would say, focus exclusively on DE, and get heroes to 15, Golem to 4, and Lava Hound to 2.

After level 15, each 5 level chunk of hero upgrade time is a month. So, after level 15, you have 3 months of upgrade time to go from 15->30. That's an awfully long time to be stuck in TH9. Personally, I think that sleeping builders is a waste, and defense at TH10 is much, much stronger than TH9.

Hey.

I have been following the guide since a month ago now. During my winter break, i got both heroes to level 13 as a 2 months old th9. I'm missing the boost a lot.

Since the academic year just started, I hardly have enough time to sit down and boost spell factory and farm DE for 2 hours. At most I could farm a little bit more on weekends. Considering I earn roughly 10k to 20k de a day, inclusive of maxed drills. I have resigned to upgrading my AQ solely and might skip hero upgrades for de troops.

I find it a difficulty to keep up with trophies.
Its like, 'okay im going to snipe' with 50% strength, i found a good de base'temptations overwhelms me' and i continue to lose trophies.

All in all great guide, i have yet to upgrade my minions but i have been running barch with 6 wbs. Really helps to break into th10 collector base with de.

Yeah, most are not going to be able to raid like Ash. He has like near 700 won attacks this season alone, let alone the attacks he didn't win but got tons of loot from. Overall big takeaway from this thread, there is de loot, it's not that scary to get, and you can farm enough each week to keep ur heroes upgrading. The amount of de is only based on how much you can attack. Perhaps the next thread someone makes on de farming will be on gaining large amounts of de with limited attacks (100-200 per season). I only do 100-200 attacks a season, but have farmed enough de to keep heroes going constantly, but they are only going 24 (bk) and 21 (aq). I don't gem time, because I don't have time to farm at any higher rate, and don't boost outside of 1 gem boost events. For the rest of us, this process will be slower, no shame in that. Just enjoy the time you have at th9 to practice using custom armies in war to 3 star bases with base scouting and base exploitation; that fun will far outlast farming to completion and the th10 2 star war game.

To Ash, Congrats on hitting th10 with full lava walls and near maxed heroes for th9. Very impressive, you've shown the forum that de farming can be done cheaply and effectively.

When I was farming DE in TH 9 without a Hero, I was fluctuating in Gold 1. I never concerned myself of maintaining trophies. I was able to make DE fast. If you're really worried about maintaining trophies, try my TH snipe while barracks queueing method.

Doesn't matter how many attacks I do. I average over 1000 DE per attack when I'm farming DE. 100 attacks = 100,000 DE. Relevant to fast I'm farming DE. I've also completed lv 10 walls at the same time averaging over 300,000 resource per attack. 10 attacks = 3,000,000 resource = 1 lava wall. Everything adds up.

Of course in your situation, you're not going to be able to make as much as me simply because you play less. But you can still maximize your input if you're using the most efficient method. 10k DE per hour is no lofty goal.
